CBN Govt Turning Blind eye Towards Chittoor

1.Check the attached map showing original plan for developing Krishnapatnam industrial node as part of Chennai-Bangalore Industrial Corridor.

2. Chittoor-Tirupati-Nayudupeta road 4 laning forms important part of this node to increase connectivity to Bangalore.

3. Tenders were called in 2008  (https://www.devex.com/projects/tenders/andhra-pradesh-road-sector-project-in-india--5/48594)

4. Its TDP which fought to cancel the tenders citing transfer to NH dept.

5. Now total 7 years completed. This project is not even being talked about by our progressive govt. Any sane person driving on this road will notice the urgent need for widening.

6. Now our forward looking govt wants to ignore this vital road completely and has come up with new proposal of. Banagolre-Naidupeta via madanapally, Piler, Tirupati.

7. Ignoring a road which serves 70% traffic and wants to concentrate on an alternative.

Now one point comes to every ones mind

చిత్తూరంటే కోపమా, కసా, కక్షా? ఎందుకీ వివక్ష

    4. There might be a valid reason behind this. If the the Bangalore to Naidupet Via MDNPLL-PLR is brought now, it might be because of funds from Central Government as part of NIMZ in Valmikipuram. Central govt. will invest 16k crores as part of providing infrastructure like roads, water, power, etc.

And coming to Puthalapattu-Naidupet road, its a short term Project to be completed under both CBIC and VCIC with Urgent status. So, this road will be only finished when the funds are released from ADB or JICA.

    6. @AnonymousJanuary 19, 2016 at 11:00 P: When central govt included Chittoor in the initial Smart City list, State govt removed it.
Central govt knows the significance of Chittoor city location but state govt support is not there.

When Smart city is taken out, why can NIMZ also can be taken out from Valmikipuram?

Building all new four lane road via Valmikipuram itself is costly. Already there is a 4 lane till Karnataka Border from Bangalore. Only the AP Stretch has to be 4 laned and express way is also passing near by Chittoor.

The bottom line is, Politicians are not interested to develop chittoor city and its surroundings.

  10. Chittoor is District headquarter and Corporation but TDP govt is not doing any thing to chittoor city.In YSR period-2007 , proposed 4 lane road to chittoor from Naidupeta. But it is not happened. That road is turned from chandragiri to Piler route. It is really shame to CBN. We are not opposition to piler- madanapalle route. Chittoor is district headquarter , so they have to complete the 4 lane road from Tirupati - chittoor . That too famous kanipakam temple is there. It is really pathetic situation to chittoor.

  12. We will be more happy if chittoor comes under tamilnadu. The worst part is its in Andhra. No Development nothing. All local leaders are fit for nothing. Better all of us stage fr a dharna... such that whole chittoor should be on road. Let them realize atleast then. Nutrine factory closed, sugar factory closed, Vijaya dairy is no more............ really sad...

I was a resident of Chittoor for more than 2 decades and was very happy to see when 4 laning from Bangalore Chittoor road started thinking that Chittoor would be covered. It is very sorrowful to see that it is still pending and looks like nothing is moving on towards execution....Also Chittoor till Naidupeta should have been completed long back and still waiting for the project to commence.
