CHITTOOR CITY MASTER PLAN TO BE IMPLEMENTED FROM NEXT MONTH

Chittoor Master Plan is finally ready and will be  implemented after diwali.

Master plan will be implemented phase wise, starting with road widening for which final approval of C&DMA is received.

The arterial roads to be taken up in Phase-I include

       # Greamspet to Gangasagaram -New collectorate -100 ft
       # MSR Junction to Murukambattu via Kattamanchi - 100 ft
       # Collector Bungalow to Puttur Road via Estate - 100 ft
       # MSR Junction to Iruvaram Byepass -100 ft
       # Santhapet Juction to Byepass -80 ft
       # Neeva Bridge to Santhapet  Ragimanu Junction-50 ft


The roads to be taken up in Phase-II include
     
       # Outer ring road phase I
       # Outer ring road phase II


The entire master plan along with changes in zone regulations is planned to be completed in 2 years. The road widening itself is estimated to cost about 75 crores.

The work schedule, marking and implemetation will be finalised in a joint action team meeting comprising of District Collector, Revenue, National Highway, Municipal and Electricty departments after Diwali.

  8. santhapet to bye pass road the divided road should be done and certain parts of this road already divided road is made but there is not any inform in the road shapes the road width should be cleared on both sides from encroachments properly for vehicles to move through

  14. The stirr for a separate telangana was almost to fail after Mr.KCR wasn’t able to go with his fast anymore..There they youth cadre sprung up into action,to revive it ,strengthened it..upon which the seperatist telangana leaders standing upon now..

    OU as Adda for telangana movement in all colors,for now….
    Its upto us how we make up CTR,,

    we couldn’t enjoy the cream/vanilla of CTR’s fruits,atleast we should be able to handover a better CTR/ well architected city to the generation next..

    After all , Generation 1 . bw 1947 – 1980, Gen 2 : 1980-2013. Gen 3 : 2013 + ( its specified to be 33yrs make up a “generation”)
    After Delhi – New Delhi,Mumbai – Navi Mumbai , Raipur (Chattisgarh’s capital, one of the five well preplanned/designed cities).
    Chennai – New Chennai at THIRUMAZHAISAI on TVLR = CNI Rd,Near Nazarth Pet Next to Poona Mallee..

    We may have to have New CHITTOOR, especially on this stretch bw Chennai – Bengloor , 4 lane & six lane ways,,(Sand wiched bw).

    If we start for that by now,it may take up to a decade to get the complete look ,afterall very needed for a city.

  16. Regular readers would remember that the desire for having fourlane roads in the city, was expressed on this interface,
    not more than a month two before
    Now it is becoming a truth

    Already the first ever fourlane road work commenced in the city, which may take a few months to complete..i.e,, FCI – Thana ( 3kms)…

    As per the info ..100 feet Rd
    1) East PCR Cr – FCI (3kms) ,,which completes the entire stretch in the eastern part of the city,with a four lane road..

    2) West : MSR Cr – Gandla Kottur (NH -

    3)North : Gandhi Cr – Murukkambat Cr : 4.5Kms..
    Leaving 4 kms till Muthirevulu on NH.

    4)South : Gandhi Cr – Collectorate : 4 Kms..
    Leaving 2kms till Ganga Sagar…

    5) North West : Court – Manga Samudram Cr -3.5 kms…
    1.7km eroute from Obana Palle – Manga Samudram is already a fourlane,…

    Readers would be aware that Gandhi Rd to be 80feet. From Bridge to Peepal Tree /SPT Cr 50 feet, from there upon to MGSMD,..

    So all the stretches of road would be hopefully developed into fourlane in Phase – II…

    Definitely would grow upto sizes of PLMN,PTR,PNGR sooner,…

    Tamaballa Palle, Different to others, the CHQ is not upto the size of Town,but Beerangi Kotha Kota (BKK) as reportedly is upgraded to a municipality sooner,,,
    Horsely Hills in closet ,have to develop tourism for growth n development,…

    The lone fascism hit Constituency of CTR Dt,,To improvise the lands / men ,,,definitely industrialization to be developed, Feel G.Jaya Dev would suit to do so,in present situations,to bring out men from the backwardness,,especially the peddamandem,molakalacheru,kalicherla etc…

  19. It was Vepanjeri Constituency,but keeping the closeness to CTR in Mind,GDN( Ganga Dhara Nellore ) is made a CHQ,
    So is Puthalapattu

    very much agri dependant cons ,
    GDN,Penumur,Karvet Nagar qualify to be Town Panchayats.

    CPH * Chittoor Puttur High * Rd a major Rd for the entire constitutency,,without a hospital (have to travel atleast 40kms to reach a good Hospital) which was under the control physician turend politician who worked as minister for Health care,AP, Deputy Speaker,etc,,,

    Alternate Chittoor – Tirupati Via Penumur a 10 M Rd (might be an express way but not neccassarily be)

    P.Kotha Kota –GDN – Ponnai .

    GDN-Balija Kandriga (GDN Const)– Nochili – Nedungal (TN)– Nagari (Nagari Constituency)
    Balija Kandriga ( GDN const - Nochili – Maddur (TN) – Vijaya Puram – Jagganadh puram ( NAG cons ) – karani – Surutta Palli (STVD Const) –Uttu kottai

    If are connected act as major roads for these constituencies and alternate for CTR to various places…

  20. Puthala Pattu,,is 8kms away from CTR City limit (Muthirevulu/RVS Nagar)..
    Bangaru Palem is the main town , for the const,& Satellite for CTR * as RNGT for TPT*..

    No developments are seen on ground level,much/more or less the same,…As a dry land like CTR,without much water sources…

    Bringing in GDN town,Puthala Pattu Towns into CH.UDA would be the next big step for their Development..

    Kuppam,with all amenities available, probably only political reasons restraining it to be out from being a Municipality…
    Good market for silkworm cultivation./flowers..

    Definitely Kuppam,V.Kota,Satya Vedu,B.Kotha Kota,Vayal Padu qualify to be towns /Municipalities,with good future growth prospects…

    Places like Bangaru Palem Kalikiri,Karvet Nagar, Penumur,Pichatoor- Nagala Pur( Combined),Tamballa Palle, to be made into Nagar Panchayats..(GDN n PTLP if not included in CH.UDA)

    All need encouragement/ infra developments from Govt of AP(GAP).

      84 KM leftover patch 4 Laning which is planned from TN Border - KA Border.

Since Chittoor is the border for Andhra, definitely many trains starting point should be from Chittoor. Hope our dist MPs take up this seriously and make it happen.

  21. Otherwise developed (Const) be developed ,undeveloped remains the same,with much variation found to be with in the Dt /Already huge water availability variation prevailing within the Dt.

    Infact VLR Dt (6,600 Sq.Kms i.e.6.6 K Sq.Kms area, 4.1Million Population ,13 Const (MLA) )
    Is heading for a separation with Tiruppatur as a DHQ.

    Contrast to CTR Dt’s ( 15.15 K Sq Kms area, 4.2 Million,14 Const)..Divisions wont lead to development,unless power decentralization happens

    Districts - RDs - Const-Taluk - Mandal,heirarchy should be strengthened..

    Sharp variance in developments in Mumbai to rest of the country,,thackerays MNS, So is HYD's develop to rest of AP ./CTR Dt atleast,

  24. Can understand CTRians interest towards road developments,as we are even to bring out the updates upon them,

    Still there is no reliable info so far,

    The first step in the direction,notifying the houses enroute,which are to be cut out for widening…against which no movement happened on date…

    Reg municipal projects who are unable to contain themselves,can directly mail to commissioner,CMC for the same.(on cdma website u can find the id)

    So abt the CNI – BLR route,,

    That last info I came across with, land acquisition was been undertaken at few hundreds of crores for the road widening from Walajah Tollgate (Near Then Kadapan Thangal) tp AP Border ( Muthu Rasi Kuppam /Gettralla Mitta)

    Not sure which way (from cni /blr) the road strectch in our Dt would start like…Chances are more likely that land surveyed for by-passing PLMN was undertaken recently…

    God knows how sooner /later the road work would start on ground,

    But most of the work would be completed with in this 2013 end,may not stop this time ,atleast.

  25. The rail route laying work bw third Junction of the Dt,NAG ( Nagari),,to Tindivanam (Near Pudu Cherry) is all in swing,

    The interests aren’t shown up by our reps, but after the MP ARK,who initiated this,now MP,Arani is pushing things to finish of faster,,,

    Before we could have any news confirming CTR – BLR Rail route happening,

    Track formation work bw the fourth Junction of CTR – Dt ( probably) Kuppam to Mari Kuppam,Near Bangaru Pet

    Seems its being carried out by SWR,

    Intriguing the goods of this project,after all there is huge demand for this CTR/TPT – BLR rail route.

    Recently the Salem – Namakkal – Karur ( 85 Kms) are opened after being broadgauged n electrified..Reportedly the distance earlier route,Salem – Erode – Karur (125 Kms) ,40 kms reduction..

    If this track between BLR – CNI is linked by Bangaru Pet – V.Kota – Devalam /Muddu Rama Puram – Nara Hari Pet – Chitheri – Arakkonam,,

    The distance bw the two cosmo cities would reduce by more than 50 kms atleast (almost parallel for the proposed HSH way (Hosakote – Sri Perumbudur High way),,
    Also this would act as main route for BLR – CTR, tangenting bw Vkota - Muddu Rama Puram

    Hope this route would be considered as an alternate CNI – BLR route.

  26. Not very much recently I was knowing the stations with A1 grade do exist,,

    But there is no perfect site to give the things easily,From the info gathered,

    Stations are graded A1,A,B,C,D,E,F
    A1 with 80 cr + Annual,
    A with 6cr +
    B with 3 cr +
    C dedicated to Sub Urban stations
    D with 1 cr +
    E low revenue
    F halt stations…

    The news was that CTR being upgraded to B to A,,,

    Still no official report on the grade appraisal,Psgrs commutation,Revenue,Trains *total * number which stop n which don’t stop.over here,,,

    Which is a matter of concern for a DHQ station,,

    Ananta Pur Dt with 3-4 junctions having excellent route in RYLS,,
    Has many more RS,new Junctions like Raya Durg n puttaparti to be added to,,

  27. Sadly, second death happening in the central town,especially around Gandhi Circle with in past two months,due to vehicular traffic.

    some one should shoulder (obviously reps n authorities) to devise steps to counter them.

    27 Crore to be invested in TPT for Telugu conference,to beautify the city,,,

    50 crore is been allotted to one of the southern towns of TN ,PUDUKOTTAI ,on its centenary celebrations,by JJ

    Unless we could have such funds inflow ,we cant expect much improvement,(after all with in 4 ½ years we too to celebrate centenary year ,bringing in funds to carry out development activities should start now gradually)…

    Irony is that only the town area is being considered to be city ,the merged areas arent treated as city parts so far…Even I get the feeling ,the citizens of those parts are hardly aware abt they form the part of chittoor city..

    Looks like city just on cards,,

    Forget abt the others, atleast we as citizens should be able to take a steady approach to identify every area of the city,as a part of it,Chittoor as a city n DHQ,,Advocate the same to the unknown who believe chittoor n tpt are same,,etc

  28. On the part of clean city championship CTR is included under,amongst five cities of the RYLS

    Though cleanliness in CTR is good,*waste Mgt*.

    Now CMC should look out to find the solution for its present “Waste Dumping Yard” at Lening Nagar,Obana Palle..

    Localites are seemed to be annoyed after having this in closet,filthy n mosquitoes etc..

    CMC could move out of the city to form the same,
    More Concentration should be kept up on drains,cleaning & desilting,..

    Formation of new drains especially in those new areas,trying to find the ways for better Drainage system.,

    There are CC Rds which were laid way back some 15yrs,which are in bad condition and are broken .

    Plans should be readied and executed to have 100% CC Rds internally,with in the city..

    Places like Prashanth Nagar,YSR Nagar,Thana,Sundar Raj Pur,Murukkambat,Chavata palle,completely devoid of good roads n drains

    Lastly tanks / Ponds should be maintained in condition to ensure better water availabilty

  29. Kiran seeks extension of PRIDe corridor to State

    Chief Minister makes passionate plea at the Southern Zonal Council meeting in Bangalore
    Welcoming the Centre’s proposal to develop a Peninsular Regional Industrial Development (PRIDe) corridor along Chennai-Bangalore highway, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy has sought the extension of the project to AP by including the Naidupet-Bangalore route connecting Tirupati, Pileru, Mandanapalli and Kolar.

    Making a passionate plea for this benefit to the State while speaking at the Southern Zonal Council meeting in Bangalore on Friday, Mr. Reddy regretted that PRIDe, in its present form, bypassed AP although it was in the peninsula. Under PRIDe which was being funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency, Krishnapatnam port could be developed under its Phase II to decongest the corridor.

    He said only a Chennai-Andhra-Bangalore corridor could unleash economic potential of the region and ensure world class infrastructure, economic development and employment generation. He appealed to Tamil Nadu and Karnataka to extend cooperation for extension of the project to AP for mutual benefit.

    The Chief Minister urged Karnataka to extend the coverage of its Golden Chariot luxury train to Tirupati-Hyderabad circuit connecting Tirumala, Tiruchanur, Srikalahasti, Kanipakam besides Hyderabad. The AP government would ensure darshans at temples by tourists and trips within Hyderabad.

    Mr. Reddy pleaded for allocation of the funds by the Centre “as demanded’ by States based on the performance and utilisation of funds for rural development. He welcomed the proposal for introducing a “flex fund’ scheme for States. States must also be given freedom to design schemes as per the local needs.

    The guidelines for “Flexi Fund’ scheme should be finalised at once.

    Smuggling of red sanders

    He sought a Central legislation to end the rampant smuggling in red-sanders which was finding its way to China and other destinations with Chennai port serving as the conduit.

    At the same time, he sought Central clearance for export of red sanders through bidding process.

    He said AP was losing revenue due to transportation of goods between Puducherry and its enclave in AP, Yanam, and wanted steps to contain the tax evasion.

    1. That would be simple super, I was thinking of Bangalore-Nellore expressway.

      But Via Hosakote-Kolar-Palamner-Chittor-Pakala-Tirupati-Naidupet-Nellore

      Parallel y Double line track from KR Puram to Chittoor( Nangali-Palamner-Chittoor) . Further if TN permits to connect it to thiruthani

      Any citizens Forum/Development forum in Chittoor should get in touch with Local Govt officials on Monthly Basis and take ppl in Chittoor an Nellore Districtsi nto confidence to give up their land for these Kind of Development's which will benefit other's and well good schemes encouraging ppl to be Project Benefited rather than project affected.

      Chittoor should give Much needed relief to both state capitals on either side of it.

    Instead I found lot of scrap which is like what ppl want to happen in CTR and in their dreams rather than what's happening ....

    1. Nangali-Chittoor Line was just a mouth piece/Verbal statement
      of K H Muniyappa the then MoS of Railways. we need to see how far will the present MoS of Railways being from our Andhra Pradesh.

      We may get more confirmed news on Forth coming Union Railway Budget 2013-2014, when is a ritual happening on Last day of Feburary. Hopefully if MoS of Railways is not sold out to TN politicians.

      Already Union Ministry for Railways are in the process of getting details from respective states about the Railway projects which need to be addressed in their respective states.

    I.think we have bit@h Ar$e Kumari as minister in.the state cabinet She atleast for.the sake of her business plans (she holds large swath of land between Kukkala palle and masandram and IT park near iruvaram ) she wud.not let this I.industrial corridor skip from our NH 4 route .

    1. Again we see crony capitalism here Pileru being KKR home town and favoring TN by skipping industrial corridor from our NH 4 route and taking it along Tirupati - Madanapalle via Pileru. Which can however be done on later stages.

      CTR'ans have to pressurize local authorities and Plan for a 8 Lane along NH 4 from Nangali to Chittoor as well as till Nellore. Getting it right at very First Time itself will be better rather than how we have seen Traditional way first single Road-Double Road - 4 lane - 6 lane/8 Lane.

      8 Lane should have provision to have Metro For Local use, HSR from Nellore - Bangalore(Biayappanahalli) on either ends of the 8 Lane Road and provision for having elevated in Middle in future for construction of a signal free expressway. Just on Lines of Hebbal / BIAL expressway which is going to complete in 2013 June. After which we can see construction of Namma Metro / HSRL to BIAL.

      There is something called economic viability. Without which no infrastructure project will sustain.

      Lets not be obsessed with Big numbers which is the status of Indian youth today. lets be realistic and fight for 4 lane first, do not be obsessed with 8/6 lanes. There are lot of practical problems for that.

  33. Really shame to Kirankumar Reddy,CM and Chandrababu Naidu,Oppn Leader. NH4 -4 lane Road, AP border is still pending with AP GOvt.Intentionally they are neglecting. I dont think Kiran Govt will complete this road. At the time 2007, YSR has proposed Naidupeta to Puthalapattu 4 Lane Road. Kiran not at all giving importance to Tirupati- Chittoor Main Road. He is trying to develop Piler route ghat Roads only. This is too much. Chittoor is District Head Quarter, Govt has to give more priority to Chittoor city and surroundings development.I have sent so many remainder messages to Chandrababu Naidu, he never discussed in the assembly. Kindly send more remainders to our rulers.What we can do?

  34. Atleast Smt Galla Aruna,Minister has to raise a voice, simply she procured around 600 acres from APIDC for Digital city to create 30,000 people directly or indirectly. Rightnow nobody know what is the status of Digital City and no one know what type of products they will produce in the Ditital City.

    As reported by it ,on the main page,Local Edn

    After collector,Secretary of Dept of Finance,GAP,stressing upon the need to ensure max no of deliveries should be carried out in GH,CTR..

    Also he added 75% of deliveries happen in Pvt hospitals,,
    Unless the facilities,medicines,equipments,staff are maintained well,how one can expect to dare to take the risk of.

    If all of them are available now,do you think people still go out to Pvt Hospitals…? Spend Thrify?

    Tenders were called for 16 Prime locations,which are going to have Maternity and Child Health Care Units.,CTR GH is one amongst them..

    A gal from CTR winning Under 5th class ABACUS at state level,.
    Issues are there in the Indoor Stadium ,which is maintained by DSA*District Sports Authority*

    I feel,Masonics should be kept for City level competions/events..
    A Standard Stadium which could host Regional Level Events (atleast),should be next major wish for CTR ,some where in outskirts if land prob in city

  39. Before I could bring in the present position of CTR City, in the 1) Dt 2) RYLS 3 ) AP 4)SOUTH 5)IND..

    Lets wind up the constituencies( CHQs) in the Dt.
    5 places in each district of ATP & KRNL are upgraded to Municipalities.

    i.e., 1) Pattikonda 2) Banagana Palli 3) Gudur 4) Atmakur 5) Nandi Kotkur.- KRNL Dt

    1) Kalyan Durg 2)Putta Parti 3) Pamidi 4) Madakasira 5) Gooty – ANTP Dt..

    But in CTR against the “crony capitalism” ,only 3 places are believed to be upgraded..

    Why did this happen..If Mr.NKK could atleast show up his interest to improvise upto a good number possible.

    If once elected local bodies continue upto 5 long years,which would adversely affect the interests n growth of these towns.

    Three places which are believed to be upgraded in the Dt ,yet to be confirmed.,.1) Piler 2) V,KOTA 3) B.Kotha Kota

    Now,there are towns which could be possibly agglomerated with its outskirts to reach the population needed upto,to upgrade them to municipalities,,

    1) Kuppam : which has all amenities, 2)Vayal Padu
    3 ) Satyavedu .:sri City ,IIIT,ennore port.. 4)Pakala : Railway Junction,future satellite town in the mid way of CTR – TPT.

    As we have CTR Dt person whos in the chair we should be able to have 3 + 4 : 7 Municipalities to be formed newly,.,.

    Why Mr.NKK is not doing this,we came across Crony capitalism(Asritha Paksha Patam),why hes not doing for the Dt this time.

    Couldn’t be what they all are ,as of now...if minused.

    If we have to improvise them,we have to improvise their critical ones simultaneously..

    There is serious shortage for office space at the DHQ,Like office of the Drugs Inspector, office of the executive metrices n weights,Many offices do run either in old or in rented buildings, some in nook n corner…

    We have Municipal Schools like Varadappa Naidu(VDN),Gpt which don’t have enough or wide space to have nice building,,

    Then when the town was small it couldbe a school for every 200/300 metres,, 1.BZ 2.VDN 3. Khazi, 4. Kasthuri Bha 5.PCR all in closet…

    As the city grown upto 62kms,,we need to relocate them accordingly,taking distance bw schools should be reorganized,,this is where we find the necessity of an MEO *Chittoor Urban* to ensure uniformity,standards in all govt schools *ZP/MP/Govt./Municipal…through out the city

    We have enough spaces for relocation /reconstruction ,gradually..
    1) Collectors Bungalow :apt for construction of Integrated administrative units (for office space dt./mandal/local levels) like complexes at collectorate. Also a portion of it could be allocated for a school
    2) Old collectorate
    3) MRO Office premises
    4) Agricultural Market yard: where lorries find hard to take a turn into ,atleast
    5) Dt.Jail
    6) Police Ground (could be apt for relocation of Municipal Bus Terminus)

  41. I like this BLR – NLR route,not that as it is asked for a 8 lane,but the person could be able to think so big,even I didn’t do so,..

    Some one quick to clear the feasibility of the project,again nice to share his ideas/ learnedness abt the way projects are chosen.

    As per the info available ,NH which are already four lane are being sixlaned under NHDP ,2 lane to 4,1 to 2lane...

    If CNI - CTR - BLR was done earlier ,in ABVP's regime (Atal Bihari's VajPayee)it could have been taken for 6 laning,

    Already krishnagiri -vlr - cni is being done so ,along with CNI - KLKT (NH 16)

    One reason of PRIDE through .PILER could be the partiality /extra interest to develop his own constituency,understandably….As guessed by some one of us

    We are in no position to demand projects taking CTR as a DHQ,/Corpn,we are failing to get the enough attention (towards dev) by the state n central govts.

    If not talking abt the years b4,Anam of NLR as minister could bring in not less than 200cr per year,in the past two years to NLR city..

    We lack both water n funds,,,

    CNI – 16 MLAs,BLR – 10(to my best memory)..if ctr develops ,if throws a strong impact in PTLP,GDN constituencies,,
    I guess these reps do become part of Urban Dev,Authority…

    Reason two to understand the PRIDE diversion,,,if it runs through NH69 (commonly CNI – BLR) only 84 kms in CTR Dt (AP) would get benefited with PLMN,CTR,,
    Alternately now it runs more than double 160 km,,covering MPL,PILR,TPT,…

    Yet no reason to lose hope we could bring up SME (small/medium entreprenurhips) along the HSH 6lane,CNI –BLR 4 lanes,,our reps should work towards it..

    We know how valuable a sqfeet is in the city,,whose responsibility if it isn’t developed accordingly..

    Already the records pertaining are with Corpn,

    Lands related to Temples n Crematorium should also be safeguarded n to be regulated on communal basis.

    If we could organize some kinda events,not only there could be funds,to develop the city sideways.

  44. Apparently as per some sources.. The building thats been constructed and used by sri chaitanya techno school is been constructed for a software company and due to our belowed MLA CKBABU he made some issues with them and has been withdrawn ..
    Also I heard many bad things done by CKBABU ..Like he occupied ( kabja ) Ananda textiles land in BV reddy colony which caused his sudden death .. and couple of issues in kattamanchi .. does any one know about these ???

    CTR as expected divided into 50 Divisional Wards,

    Seems a Direct bus service Tumminda Palem – Gudipal – Tirumala,is started up recently.

    Ayush (Ayurvedic Hospital ) within construction work in Swing.Hope it really serves the cause,just not on cards..

    For the first time Dt.collector compared CTR GH with Ruia,regarding preg n delivery cases ,in raising the case number.

    Also there are 1k HIV Affected getting treated at CTR ARV(Anti Retro Viral) Centre, against Dt's 4.6k

    The road marking on CPH Rd (Chittoor - PTR )was marked already,it should have been completed by now ,from FCI to Thana,it is being delayed, for what so ever reason..

    Reg.Gandhi Circle to FCI ,no such news of marking,still could be verified,

  51. Observed one thing, all the roads are having minimum 4 lanes with connectivity to Tamil Nadu. For example why is Chittoor -Puttur road is 4 lane , why not Chittoor to Tirupati 4 lane?. NH4 road is already diverted to Ranipet to Krishna Giri Road. TN Central ministers are taking initiate and complete their roads with in time. Really sad news about NH4 road in AP limits.
    I dont think they will complete for next five years.

    The zones are proposed at Zaheerabad (Medak district), Chittoor and around proposed Ramayapatnam port in Prakasam district.

    Andhra Pradesh has also requested that Chennai-Bangalore industrial corridor be extended to Krishnapatnam port in Nellore district.

    Now in the list of Back Ward Constituencies of the Dt i.e., 1)STVD 2) Tamballa Palle (TBLP) 3) Ganga Dhara Nellore ( GDN ) 4) Putala Pattu ( PTLP)….Sooner STVD may get out of the list..provided

    1)Satya vedu should be identified as a Town(municipality) should be provided with all amenities n infra.,

    2) Beerangi Kotha Kot a of Tamballa Palle is considered for upgradation to a town /municipality..

    Remaining are GDN n PTLP constituencies..

    The Main concept of Manufacturing City is to improvise 1) Industrial Productivity 2) Urbanisation…


    As the roads which we now use are more than 50yrs old,every one of us knows how best the engineering technology is improved today, n How crucial towns are imp in the Dt.

    Connecting ,NH 69 ( whose “O” point is Chittoor Collectorate ) to TADA on NH 16..i.e,

    Chittoor – Nagari – Nagala Pur – Sri City Crs – TADA. ]

    Via Ganga Dhara Nellore, SS Konda, Sindhura ja Pur – Podattoor Pet Crs – Punniyam – Vinayaga Puram – Kotha Aroor – SS Puram Rd – Red Hills Forest Rd)…

    So on this road, Manufacturing City if comes , may not it only vanish the backwardness of GDN constituency ,also benefit chittoor, Nagari ,Satya Vedu Constituencies..indirectly

    Alternately ,May they could plan taking PTLP constituency as epicentre or else some one (politico) can influence in the Decision Making.

    To conclude from 1956-2012, in 56 years, 11 years under the chief Ministeriship of Chittoreans, which is 20% roughly,,

  54. As we cant ever afford to have a Port (which can provide direct n indirect employment in thousands & Turn Over in Crores),

    Option 2, Airport ,as a city we deserve to have a Domestic Air Port,the idea should be taken up to Govt of AP,because we cant it seem happening within days or months it shall take years to materalise ,

    if you start the initial step,( Approval for the project,Land Acquistion , preparation,connectivity,Clearance from DGCA),which take years for sure,though you start the proceedings by now..

    Option 3. Rail connectivity .

    1) Making CTR a Railway Junction at Earliest,

    2)steps to improve the revenue of the RS

    3) As a DHQ it should be raised to a 5 Platformed Station

    4) having enough/Max trains running through

    a) Dharma Varam – Pakala – Chittoor – KPD – Vizhuppuram track,
    b) Gudur – Reni Gunta – Chittoor – KPD - Jolar Pet – Selam tracks..

    So Doubling and Electrifying is all needed,at Emergency level….

    As long these get delayed ,so long would be the real development of the city.

    Option 4: Road ways : 10 New Rds can be formed,reflecting todays needs or interests..
    but not much work being done though…

    Reg Road Transport,CTR 1 & 2 Depots just binamis of Tirupati ,it could be better renamed as Tirupati -4 ,TPT -5,..you don’t find enough transport facilities except to TPT,Bengloor,Madana Palle,,

    Ever you found the DHQ connected with mandal HQ of KVB Puram.BN Kandriga,Varadiah Palem,Pedda Mandem,Vijaya Puram Mandals of the Dt.

    As we expect good Transport facilities from Chittoor (DHQ) to Hyderabad *state Capital* ,directly…

  55. CPH Rd is not a 4 lane road,

    it is 4 laned just from FCI to Thana Circle ,
    from there to PTR as a 10 Metre wide road i.e., as a BLPS * Bi Lane with Paved Shoulders*.

    All our Roads should be developed ,provided by Road Transport Facilities.

    We should be able to ask what we need ,after all.
    The situation as many of the Chittoor CityZens vote for one day offerings by political parties/ for Indiramma House/ Ration Cards...

    We all blame one or two for the present status of CTR City,

    so what happened to remaining of all bigs,

    our early generation / the public
    dont they form the part of the city....

    for sure we are blessed with internet connectivity ,where msgs can pass on with in seconds,earlier things were different...

    Just check out the ministers who hail from the dt,worked in GAP & their contributions ,till now.

    Were we able to do something if Kuppam could be developed so well by NCB or can we persuade if had n’t he done anything .

    Earlier Kuppam used to be little cared for,as it happens to many border lying constituencies,just not only in AP,throughout the nation on majority instances.

    NCB not only brought KUPPAM to light,but also made have on par with CTR or MPL ,if would had been another chance.

    So applies to Mr. NKK ,atleast his getting out the backward constituenc y of PILR,
    Going through all of them, Kiran’s contributions to the DT are laudable.

    Let us support him..

    Simultaneously we can persuade for CTR’s development,

    For non politicos, if you have observed the earlier equation of the state.

    There was enough fund in flow n confidence bestowed upon earlier CM ,by the Central Govt,
    as the former could bring the party to power…

    Now,
    when the centre realised the confidence shown by them is misused / used against the centre’s interests( insurgence in the name of another part)

    so it had limited the freedom which was given earlier.

    More regulations from centre,leaving little scope for Mr.NKK..

    Also hes under crusher,himself, to pay off huge sums which were started by earlier CM.Result theres nothing much reserves left unused at treasury.

    We should be able to lobby for loans/grants/aids etc,.Hope we get them n utilised appropriately..

    Then we need not worry for the funds, Chittoor can even get An International Airport. Tirupati will be cultural Capital of Andhra,Chittoor - Administrative and Infrastructure Capital and Nellore - Coastal capital.

    India will be in records as well with 3 Capital cities on NH4 ( 350 KMS). Great if it happens so.

    1. Chittoor city population around 3.5 lakhs , but chittoor rural extended upto 10-15 Kms routes like vellore road,Bangarupalem and puthalapattu and puttoor roads. Including rurals it goes to 6-7 lakhs

  67. From SVCET to Bandarla Palli on NH40,(7th km to 14km,from MSR Cr),,Rs.4.5 Cr worth road work has been called up for tenders.

    There might be allegations against the person,Medical Health Officer *MHO* of CMC ,if hes the person responsible for waste Mgt,in the city…His work speaks for himself,.probably working style has to be adjusted…

    However as said b4,Drains are not good,as it should be..Not only the number of them,but also desilting is not done,regularly..if at all done some 6 -7inch iron plate used to desilt
    4 – 5 feet drains..

    Two days before Eenadu focused on the non caring attitude of CMC towards the new areas of the city,as guessed…Even the waste mgt /drains are not at all done by CMC..

    In other words, only the urban part of the city is served by CMC,leaving the merged areas ,not concentrating upon meeting municipal needs n developmental activities.

  68. My number for CTR population was 2.1 Lakh,if at all theres considerable GR *Growth Rate* of the merged areas,,Max it should be 2.2 Lakh Max.

    As the census 2011 data is yet to be available for towns n Gram Panchayats with less than 1 lakh population.

    i) Dinakaran Local Edn,with in a short span of time,after upgradation,Reported the population of Merged areas as 0.55 Lakh(rounded off) +1.54 Lakh (rounded off) =1.99 Lakhs

    ii) Eenadu soon after upgradation,now by yesterday had gave the similar number

    iii) MHO of CMC has told 47,000 residences being in the city according one paper,and 44,000 residences according to the other…

    India Avg members per house/family/Residence is 5,AP n CTR Dt ‘s : 4
    So 4 x 47,000 or 4 x 44,000.

    iv) As per the most recent data available regarding the VP (Voter Population) of
    CTR constituency is 1.56Lakh…as per the VP : TP ratio (100:160)
    TP of CTR Const : 160/100 x 1.56L

    Remember the Ctr Const includes 1)CTR URB, 2) CTR RUR 3) GudiPal..(GDPL) …

    Even the Cities like VLR,TPT could cross 5 Lakh,as per census 2011,

  69. As per revised recommendations for the Municipal Bodies to be upgraded to a Municipal Corpn.the population limit is to be 3lakh in AP,

    we are way far lesser than that. Or Simply just short by 1 Lakh..to that figure.

    We are blessed in getting the status,but we were neglected by two – three decades least,which is responsible for our present condition,..

    To solve this ,we should heavily bank up on 1) DHQ status 2) Corporation,to make out the most..

    Like a person seeks better command over a wider area n higher salary after getting promoted to the superior post,
    so should be our city…

    As of now our population( CTR city’s not town’s) is

    A) Lower than various Urban Agglomerations of 1. Vizianagaram 2. Khammam – AP
    3.Thanjavur 4.Dindukkal 5.Ranipet 6. Karur 7.Siva Kasi 8.Hosur – TN

    B) Comparable with that of 1.Ongole (donno what its present size after upgradation) 2.Proddutur 3.Nandya 4.Mahaboob Nagarl in AP 5.Kanchee Puram in TN

    C ) Just higher than that of Adoni,Madana Palle, in AP
    Kumara Palayam,Karaikkudi in TN

  74. By pass at three places on NH 69, i.e., K.G.Satram *Kuppala Gurrappa Satram*,BGP *Bangaru Palem*,PLMN*Palamaner*…

    Localites in these areas seems to be against the bypass .

    Bypass is mandatory,,

    to be sorted which route would be the shortest/appropriate considering future growth of these habitations,favoring the farmers/downtrodden,

    I feel realtors/politicos can take some loss anyways,who would care for under privileged these days..

This is the only city existing equal distance from Bangalore and Chennai.And it is the junction for any route like tirupati or Vellore or Tiruttani/Puttoor etc.Once Digital city,Apollo and CMC colleges will be setup then it is almost equal to Tirupati.

    God knows where hes really present at,Earlier the tourism in CTR Dt,was much concentrated to Eastern Part of the Dt ( TML,SKHT)…

    Now a days Kanipakam,Ardhagiri,to which many cine personalities (recently Rana,Koti etc) are visting,which would add some color to Dt’s tourism..

    The fourth famous temple of the Dt,BOYAKONDA is very much close to Ardhagiri ( should be some 30kms via Muchu Kaluva,Avula Palle Crs,Chowde Palle)..

    So Kanipakam – Ardhagiri - Boya Konda…can be connected as a tourism corridor,which could be useful for MPL n ATP sectors….

    1.Apollo PCR : though is to come up with health city at CTR,its not a medical college,but a para medical college & surgical instrument/equipment manufacturing unit..

    Apollo medical colleges 3 to come out ,one is at HYD.

    CTR is not included in the list,probably he might have considered it as a not fancy location for the same.

    2. Institutor of People’s Educational Society(PES ) Medical college, Mr.P.Dorai Samy,. Native is to be known to be Periyambadi,some 3 kms away from IRVM.

    3. Infamous Rush Hospital’s S.Subramanyam’s native to be our T.Chavata Palli,near SPT,..

    Though many of them are great in their own style,still we are not going to have one…

    Regarding,CMC ,no confirmation it’s a college as such,,,

    On the other hand ,if you look at smaller towns(to CTR City) such as 1.Tiruvanna Malai 2.Dharma Puri 3.Chingle Put all with govt medical colleges …*kanchi Puram is an exception though*across the border.

    And in Karnataka, at 5kms away from Kolar there is Dev Raj URS med,college,(even Kolar is smaller),..

    If you observe the other districts of AP which contain dual cities in them,ie.,EG n KRMN

    Though RJMY*Rajah Mundry* the traditional capital of EG,in the dt didn’t inhibit /prevent the development of the other city,,KKND (Kakinada),,

    Former,still the grannery of AP,Business location of the Dt,admist VKSP n VJWD…growing consistently along with an airport,one of the best examples of a city…

    Where as the other one,the port town,now becoming the center of petro chemical corridor of Kakinada –Samal Kot – VSKP,good business location as well…don’t see a port as a normal transport facility ,is the largest business transaction point,infact its a largest direct n indirect employer.

    no negative effects of one city over the other,,

    The other case,Karimnagar, which is traditional capital,with good agri market..

    How many years do u think that RMGD *Rama Gundam* took to become a city???

    Hardly 16 years after institution as a town,thanx to Thermal Power Plant..

  84. If CTR gets developed,there would be significant effect in the areas 20-25kms surrounding.
    so would be the real estate or indirect employment ,if not direct..
    The Growth of TPT is almost rocketing ,its already heading to be Regional Capital against Kurnool,though its revenues are lesser than that of latter,

    Also water isn’t a significant issue over there,when compared to CTR n MPL ,the western parts of the Dt.

    Saturation of TPT doesn’t mean it satisfies the whole requirement of the Dt,,,

    Theres a bright Variation from EAST TO WEST with in the Dt.

    The business/edu institutes/hospital in n around tend to grow manifold,the Dt remains much or less the same…which ultimately benefit the realtors/businessmen / localites of TPT’s 20km surroundings…

    Probably from Chandragiri – TPT – RNGT – ERPD – Mannavaram – SKHT,& TPT – Vadmala – PTR,,,,the future lookout for the dt,,,

    Yes the presence of medical colleges shouldn’t necessarily be one for the Dt,if we had them earlier

    1. There is no comparison with Chittoor to Madanapalli or any other city with in Chittoor Dt. First of all we have to remember basic things.
      Here we are not doing any real estate business.
      1. Chittoor is the Junction for two big capital cities like Bangalore & Chennai.
      2. Chittoor is the Head Quarter.
      3. Chittoor city surroundings like Bangarupalem or Damalacheruvu are very famous for Mango and Sugar Cane etc
      4. Kanipakam Temple very near to Chittoor
      5. Chittor is very near to Tamil Nadu border clities like Vellore.

      Chandra Babu and Kiran both are neglecting Chittoor city development.

      So Chittoor city has to develop very fastly. That's what every body is looking.

  85. Please observe the things happening for Chittoor. Recently TPT bypass road work(4 lane) in progress started from near Renigunta. Once Chandragiri reached then suddenly turned in to Piler Road. Every one has expected that road work will continue to Chittoor Road but suddenly it moved to Piler Road. These are all politics. But our MLA or MP never questoned all these things.

    She told reporters here Saturday that the proposed corridor in the first phase would be extended upto Krishnapatnam port in Nellore district. The second phase of the project will also cover Hindupur-Chittoor belt.

    Either contractors or real estate guys, how they will give percentage to CK Babu.It might be definitely they got the benefits from MLA.     North Bangalore is most likely to see the highest level of appreciation which may given go up to 20-30% in some properties. The real estate boom from Devanahalli near Bangalore is also creating a lot of spillover in places like Anantapur, Madakasira, Hindupuram, Chilamathur, Lepakshi, Parigi, Gorantla, Obuladevara Cheruvu of Anantapur dist which are as far as 65 km to 120 km away from Bangalore.

      For 2-3 lacs population of Chittoor, there is no proper railway station. Not all the trains passes through Chittoor stops at Chittoor.
      If at all Aiport comes, how many will opt to take flight rather to Bus/Train?

    4. As just pointed out in Future Chittoor City might require airport. Then we need to zero in the Land (3000 - 4000) acres now itself. Rather than looking for land in future will be difficult . Just Like Tirupati Airport we need to improve to International standards in just 960 acres. As such we don't have the Land for further expansion in the vicinity.

      Monetary wise also we will save more if we acquire the required land now itself.

    Already AP Govt has proposed 7 places in AP.

    Renigunta airport is very far for Chittoor city. Its almost 115KM for chittoor.
    AP Govt is proposed for Nellore(via kavali) and Ongole also. Already Kadapa has airport.
    Observe the distance for Renigunta to Nellore or Renigunta to Nellore.Its around 110Kms only.

    Chittoor city population has bigger than Ongole,Tadepallegudam,Vijayanagam and Srikakulam.
    How many VIPs will goto Ongole or other newly proposed places.
    Everyday 100s of VIPs visiting to Kanipakam.
    Chittoor city is the junction for TN and KA.
    Really shame to Chandra Babu,every time he is visiting Kuppam via Bangalore airport. Atleast present CM Kiran and CBN has take initiative and propose the place for airport at Chittoor.

    Chittoor city populaton has around 3.5 lakhs unofficially including city limits. They didn't counted properly in 2011 census. That's why Govt is still considering 2001 census.

    For Ongole there is no VIP other than Purandeswari,Minister
    For Vijaynagaram there is no VIP other than Botsa Satyanarayana

Good to see ppl(locals) realizing the importance of Chittoor and an Airport for it's own . when Chennai can get an Greenfield airport at Sriperumabadur as well 2 International Airport status ( Coimbatore and Trichy). Chittooreans will only be left with choice to commute all the way to Renigunta,Nellore,Kadapa,Chennai,Sriperumbadaur or Bengaluru.

      Consider the population of chittor district as whole as per 2011 census it comes to 47 Lakhs.

  106. For Madanapalli airport is not required but for Chittoor domestic airport is required. Every day 100 of VIPs are coming to Chittoor because of temple places like Kanipakam and Golden Temple,Vellore. Chittoor is a District head quarter , high level officials are able to affordable frequently in flight travels from Hyd to Chittoor etc. Anyway next 5 years almost all district headquarters will get the airport statuses.
    Chittoor city is junction to Bangalore, chennai and tirupati route.

    As all you know any VVIP is visiting some place, road will be cleared without any traffic for them to pass smoothly.
    I don't know which cadre of govt officials are allowed to travel in flight and reimburse.
    Many a times I saw MLAs and MPs are going in first class A/c trains.

  108. Guys: Where is Chittoor and where is hyderabad, its around 600KMS.Why Chittoor people are talking negative manner on airports or any development work.
    For example East Godavari district is having 2 airports- Rajamundry and kakidnada.
    Chittoor dist is very big district(14 MLA segments), its almost double than Kadapa dist or Prakasam dist .
    Renigunta airport is near to Kadapa or Nellore, its again very far(115Kms) to chittoor.
    Chittoor city is bigger than Srikakulam or Vijayanagaram or Tadepallegudem etc.
    Lot of business people are ready to travel in flight journeys. Because of Mango Yards and Sugar cane business.Even evey small political leader(corporator or Sarpanch) is ready to travel in flights for Hyderabad. Dont put comments in negative manner if u really likes Chittoor city development.

  110. Really no one know the status of NH4 Road at AP border. But I observed NH4 Road(Pending)work started in Karnataka border at Mulbhagel to Nangili. Recently some road survey happend at Palamaner and Bangarupalem for By PassRoads.

    NH4 Road 4- lane is must via Chittoor.

    If AP Govt will allocate the waste land for Chittoor Airport it will be good.Otherwise land aquisition process will be very difficult to AP GOVT. Land prices are hiking like any thing at chittor surroundings because of Corporation status of Chittoor.

    The Registrar, JNTU, Anantapur has submitted that the University proposes to start a college with five B.Tech, programmes initially from the year 2012-13, at the proposed campus, namely, University College of Engineering, Kalikiri, JNTUA, Chittoor District. The University has proposed the following six B.Tech. courses with (60) seats in each course :-

    Centre sanctions two manufacturing zones for AP

    The Centre has accorded approval for setting up two National Investment and Manufacturing Zones in Andhra Pradesh.

    The zones will come up at Chittoor and Medak as per the Government`s national manufacturing policy.

    It is expected that each zone will be spread over about 5,000 hectares and be able to attract investments of over Rs 30,000 crore each and attract manufacturing units with quality infrastructure.

    The Central Government is seeking to increase the contribution from manufacturing sector to the country's GDP.

  119. First Ever 'Apollo Isha Vidya Rural School' Opened in Aragonda,chittoor

    Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, Indian yogi and founder of Isha Foundation, formally opened the first 'Apollo Isha Vidya Rural School' in Aragonda village, Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh.

    Among the dignitaries at the inauguration were Dr Prathap C. Reddy, Chairman of Apollo Hospitals Group, board members of Apollo Hospitals Group and Isha Foundation and many other national officials.

    ManagementThe Aragonda Apollo Medical & Educational Research Foundation, a philanthropic organization established by Padma Vibhushan Dr Prathap C Reddy and the ISHA Foundation had signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Chennai earlier in February with a focus on numerous laudable objectives in the domain of education and healthcare. A core goal of the MoU was to start a primary school at Aragonda and Chittoor and to subsequently scale it up to a junior college level.

    Speaking at the opening of the first Apollo Isha Vidya Rural School at Aragonda, Sangita Reddy, Executive Director, Operations, Apollo Hospitals Group & Chairperson, Apollo Philanthropy said, "Our children are our most precious assets for the future of our nation. At Apollo, one of our primary goals is to nurture their potential with high quality education and healthcare. Therefore, the environment and focus of the Apollo Isha Vidya Rural School has been designed to ensure that learning is a joyous experience for the children, allowing them to blossom to their fullest potential".
    Aragonda is the birthplace of Dr Prathap C. Reddy and with a desire to mark a new dawn in educational models, Dr Reddy provided his personal land and funded the construction of the school building as his contribution to society and for the people of Aragonda and Chittoor district.

    The Apollo Isha Vidya Rural School, a primary school, will follow the Andhra Pradesh State Board syllabus with English as the medium of instruction. The school is starting with 120 children from LKG to 2nd standard and will eventually scale up to 12th standard with two sections each, providing quality education for about 1,200 students.

    The school will extensively use digital content and special methodologies to teach English and other subjects, to augment the curriculum. Besides the curriculum, the school will strive to provide all-round development of the child with emphasis on yoga, sports, arts & crafts and environmental education to the rural children while preserving their local culture. In later years the school will add a multipurpose hall to provide vocational training as well.

    ISHA Foundation will support this initiative by giving its management services to build the institution as a centre of excellence in school education in Andhra Pradesh. Scholarships will be awarded by the management to the underprivileged children on a case to case basis.

    Isha Foundation, founded by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, currently runs 7 rural schools for under privileged children in the state of Tamil Nadu under the name of Isha Vidya Rural Schools. Over 4,000 students are studying in the 7 Isha Vidhya Rural Schools.

  126. Any idea which place is chosen in seemandhra to made as a capital. As some Print and Electronic Media are saying Telangana on or before 28th January 2013.

    Can Chittoor - get this status. Because earlier they has split Kadapa and chittoor to be Known as Seemandhra and Kurnool, Anatapur as Rayala Telangana ( which was a failure).

    But with above Plan seems like Both Rayalaseema and Andhra accept that chittoor is a mixture of Both Culture,traditions... etc.

    Can Seemandhra ppl pull this out and Make Chittoor has a capital city.( A strong feeling to this is even the presence of Dravidian University).

    If so Then Bangalore-Chittoor-Chennai 3 Capital cities side by side representing their own Unique Identity ,......

  133. 300 bed MCH unit to Chittoor Govt Hospital sanctioned

    Chittoor: The Government of India has sanctioned a 300 bed Maternity Child Health Unit to Chittoor Government Head Quarters Hospital under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) with an estimated outlay of Rs 20 crores, according to Superintendent of the Hospital Dr. B Jayaraj.

    The modalities of the proposed unit will be communicated shortly while Rs 10 crores would be expended for the construction of the MCH unit building besides Rs 10 crore for creating infrastructure facilities, he added.

    Speaking to the press persons here at Chittoor on Monday, Dr. Jayaraj said that MCH unit would be a boon for the District Head Quarters Hospital where the earmarked specialists, civil surgeons and nursing personnel would be recruited for rendering special services for the mothers and children.

    He said that the MCH unit would be set up in the Government Hostel premises in an extent of 100 cents. “There are certain old buildings situated in the Government Hospital to be dismantled for ensuring site to the MCH. The ABVP Commissioner has also accorded permission to dismantle all the existing old buildings situated in the hospital premises with immediate effect,” Dr. Jayaraj added.

    He exuded confidence that MCH unit would come up with in one year. He said that he would take steps for vacating the Government Ayurvedic Dispensary of AYUSH situated in the hospital. Residential Medical Officer Dr. Sandhya and others were present.
