CMC in Chittoor- Just another dream????

VELLORE: There is no move on the part of the Christian Medical College (CMC) Council to shift the CMC Hospital from Vellore to Andhra Pradesh, Suranjan Bhattacharjee, director of the hospital, told The Hindu on Wednesday.

He was responding to a question from this correspondent whether the CMC has any plan of shifting the hospital campus to Andhra Pradesh. Vellore MLA C. Gnanasekaran had made a plea at a function in the CSI Central Church here on Wednesday to the hospital administration to give up any ‘move’ to shift the hospital to A.P., where it had purchased about 300 acres of land for a hospital complex.

Participating in the birthday celebrations of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Ida Scudder, founder of the CMC Hospital, organised by the Vellore District Congress Committee at the CSI (Church of South India) Central Church, Mr. Gnanasekaran said Dr. Scudder started the hospital in Vellore in 1900.

There was then a need for women doctors to treat women from backward communities as three pregnant women hailing from three different communities had died owing to their reluctance to be examined by male doctors.

The CMC Hospital and the floating population visiting the hospital from different parts of the country and abroad had contributed to the economic development of Vellore, and therefore the hospital should not be shifted from here, Mr. Gnanasekaran said.

“This is our home, and there is no question of shifting the hospital to Andhra Pradesh,” said Dr. Bhattacharjee. “We are planning a second campus in that State, and we are still in the process of discussing it,” he added.

Latest developments in chittoor

1. CMC director suranjan bhattacharjee has met AP CM Rosaiah during his recent visit to tirupati and requested him to attend the foundation laying ceremony of new CMC hospital at chittoor. my sources at CMC vellore informed me that now they are going to start a 50 bedded hospital only. The others plans of medical and allied colleges are not touched as of now. I don't know how many months or years more should chittoor wait for a medical college.

2.Tenders were issued for technical feasibility of 4 laning the Nh4 from ranipet to nangali via Chittoor. Surprisingly this is the second time tenders have been called for same purpose, the first one being called in October 2008 by ministry of road transport and highways (MORTH) . I wonder if just the technical feasibility and viability study is taking so long then when exactly the road work will start. I also don't understand why this work is taken up by MORTH instead of NHAI. lots and lots of dicrimination huhhhhh.

3.Indian oil corporation has called for the tenders for setting up of a bulk modern storage terminal at chittoor for the ongoing Chennai-Chittoor-Bangalore oil pipeline. This storage and distribution terminal will cater the needs of sorrounding kolar, chikballapur, kadapa and Nellore districts in addition to Tirupati. Atleast one project is getting acomplished.

New Developments in Chittoor.

1. New collectorate is now fully functional with most of the departments started working from their new offices. New compound wall and internal road works are pending.

2. The road from PCR Junction up to SV Engineering College-railway gate has been repaired and resurfaced. Now the road is smooth and motorable.

3. New butterfly lighting has been installed on the divider at railway under bridge in kattamanchi.(But this is a very small stretch. Why not extend this divider upto sugar factory by little road widening and install central lighting for the entire stretch. This will atleast give the much needed look to our town to anyone arriving or passing through chittoor.)

4. In the railway station new platform shelters are being constructed on platforms 2 & 3. The fifth line(Goods Line) is being electrified. Work for installing LED based Coach guidance boards has started. The parking area infront of railway station is being extended.

5. No news on CMC, or the Digital World City by Amarraja group.

6. Gayatri-JMC joint venture has bagged the tender for widening of chittoor puttur road ( Which includes 4 laning from Estate to Thana Jn) by quoting 113 crores for this project. Central govt has sanctioned the 20% viability fund. Now works are awaiting the funds release from world bank.

7. Previously closed Muthureval railway station is now being re-opened as RVS Nagar railway station. Works are going on.

8. Today R&B minister Galla Aruna Kumari has announced today (15-9-09, Eenadu) that central government is calling tenders for 4 laning of Mulbagal-Chittoor-Ranipet 4 laning.

According to some news sources the AP municipal act is being modified and amended, which will allow creation of new municipal corporations (Numbering 10 throughout the state.) The best news is our CHITTOOR is one among them. So get ready for CHITTOOR CITY.

First 4 lane road for chittoor

Hi friends,
In my earlier posts i explained you how we were cheated in NHDP programme, where the 4 laning of the stretch between Bangalore-Chittoor-ranipet of NH4 was left out deliberately. As things went this way, The Minister of state for surface transport K.H. Muniyappa from Kolar got the stretch of Bangalore to Mulbagal stretch of NH4 sanctioned. The works are about to get completed till Mulbagal. Now only the stretch between Nangali to ranipet is leftout.. During polls another minister TR Baalu has said in a press conference that as the 4 laning is about to complete, they will now take up widening of nangali to ranipet via chittoor and the road between Chittoor and Tirupathi(www.hindu.com/2009/01/19/stories/2009011954670500.htm.) This created lot of hopes for the people of chittoor district, as the 4 laning will bring better transport, better connectivity and large scope for industrial and economic development to their door steps. But dont get carried away folks. These proposals are ready only for survey work. Unless some of our MPs and Other elected representatives put political pressure in delhi circles, this project will take minimun 5 years to start. By that time all other national highways will already be 4 laned and once again we will be the last with our begging bowls.

Regarding the first 4 lane road to come up in chittoor, it is the part of chittoor-puttur road. This road is to be widened with 4 lane configaration in chittoor town from FCI to THANA junction.The rest of the road from THANA Jn to Puttur will be 2 laned with paved shoulders(similar to the road now existing between Putalapattu and Tirupathi). This project is funded by world bank and the road works are to begin by september.

A LETTER TO THE RAILWAYS.

Few days back I have written a letter to the railways regarding the facilities and problems in chittoor railway station and got the reply. Take a look

I wrote:

“Sir,
It is to bring to your notice about severe problems being faced by passengers in Chittoor (CTO) railway station.
1. With electrification and diverting of number of north-south bound long distance trains, the facilities at the station remain the same. First of all the signage indicating station name or not proper on platforms 2/3. No one can identify the station name unless u get down to platform and check for the age old british style station name attached to electric pole. Why are new diamond shaped orange on white display boards not provided, and they are not going to cost a lot.

2. Why there are no platform shelters on platforms 2/3. Though work is started it is going in a snail’s pace. sir i have witnessed no of passengers including women ,waiting impatiently under scorching sun and sometimes rain with their children and luggage in hands, many a times seen cursing the authorities for their fate.

3. Ypr-howrah, Rameshwaram-Okha and cape-cstm(one way) are presently not having stoppage at cto. We request you to provide the stoppage for these trains as soon as possible for the benefit of passengers from chittoor. Okha express is imp for all those who travel to shirdi.

4. Sir, it has been a long standing demand of the residents of chittoor to extend the FOB towards bus station. Chittoor being an important transit point for 3 states(one of the biggest busstations in AP), many a people get down at cto station and travel to their respective destn by bus. Just because of not extending the FOB to another platform, they have to travel a round about of 3 kms or pay Autos an amount 0f 20-40 Rs.

5. Lastly, as the express trains stop just for a minute or two it is getting very difficult for us to find out the coach position. Most of the long distance trains arrive at night and present coach indicator boards are never lit or never correct. With increasing revenues from cto station plus consider installing LED based coach indicators, at least on platform 1.

sir, we request you to look in to the matter immediately and bring to the notice of concerned authorities and resolve above problems for the benefit of passengers.”

After 10 days I got the reply from Asst General Manager-South Central Railway, through Asst Divisional Railway Manager –Guntakal:

“Sir,
In reference to AGMs letter cited above pertaining to subject matter, it is informed that


1. Signage boards are essential for passengers to identify the stations easily while on train. These are planned to be provided at Chittoor station by June.


2. Cover Over Platform on 2 & 3: A total length of 55 meters is already planned and foundation work is also completed. This work will be completed by June.


3. Stoppage of Yeshwanthpur-Howrah, Rameshwaram-Okha and Kanyakumari-Mumbai (one way)Express trains at Chittoor: Proposals with justification have already been sent to headquarters office at Secunderabad for consideration as this issue doesn't fall under the purview of division.


4. Already Steel Foot over Bridge connecting PF-1 and PF-2 & 3 is provided at Chittoor. Extension of FOB to the opposite side of the station may cause hindrance for the free movement of Lorries in the loading area. However pathways are provided at both the ends of platforms for easy passage of passengers. Extension of FOB towards new bus stand side will be examined in due course.

5. The works on Train information boards and coach guidance/coach indication boards is proposed to be taken up in the next financial year.

Railway administration would like to thank you for bringing important issues of this nature to our notice.

More over tenders have been called on 02-04-2009(Indian Express, Deccan Chronicle) for installing electronic LED based coach guidance boards in Chittoor and Kodur(Kadapa Dist). Tenders have been finalised and allotted on 11-05-09.

What do you say folks? See, proper representation and questioning itself can do some works. Then what are our elected representatives doing?
Let us hope all Govt departments are as responsible as railways.

An Appeal for the sake of Chittoor. ఒక విన్నప౦.

So far so good. Till now about 410 hits were received for this blog. But sad part is that only 5 have responded by mailing me. Thanks to Chaitanya, Srikanth, chava kiran, sudheer reddy and Sunil for their prompt response. Remember folks, this is not for any commercial purpose. This is for all who are born, brought up, and love Chittoor and wish to do something for it.

Daily i spend hours in front of the net googling about chittoor to find about news of any kind of development activities for chittoor. Whenever i find any, my heart jumps with joy n i can sleep that night heart fully. I try to email the problems in chittoor to concerned departments hoping for atleast a small response. Most of them remain unanswered (bloody bureaucracy), but few respond, which i will notify you through this blog. I do so many other things too, by writing, mailing to press, officials etc only in the hope of doing something for chittoor.

Many of us from chittoor are successfully, pursuing our studies and careers in and out of our country. We are seeing the light of our day. We wish everyone from chittoor to achieve success in their own fields and prosper. We also wish they could spend few minutes thinking why chittoor is in its present fate and what could be done to change it. We chittooreans have remained complacent for ages, remaining indifferent to everything happening to chittoor. I hope our generation doesn’t remain the same. We can at least thrive to create awareness among ourselves and our friends and do our best for chittoor.

Chittoor’s people are famous for our Pride, our Versatility, our Humour, our Anger, our own way of speaking Telugu with a tinge of Tamil. But deep down inside, we feel betrayed about our hometown being left out like an orphan in our state. We burn with feeling when we watch chittoor remaining the same since many years. What happened to the chittoor pride and anger? Why are we still complacent? Let us do something. Think of anything which might help our Chittoor. Remember even the mighty ocean starts as a rain drop only. Who knows our efforts might one day payoff and we might become the building blocks for the transformation of chittoor. Lets Unite for this noble cause.

Problems persist in railway station.


In my earlier article i wrote proudly that railway authorities have promoted chittoor station to A class. But a recent visit to the station revealed the dark side of the reality. Some basic necessities are missing which are very annoying and creating a lot of trouble to the passengers.
A picture speaks better than 1000 words.So i have prepared an unique pictorial & descriptive presentation of just two problems for starters. Check them out in the above picture(click to enlarge).

Now what do you say. There are many other grievances which goes like this:

1. In spite of being a major station, the following trains are not provided halts in chittoor station viz: Yeshwanthpur-Howrah, Rameshwaram-Okha(For shirdi passengers) and Kanyakumari-Mumbai(one way)Express trains, though they pass through chittoor.

2. Cover over platform is still nonexistent on platforms 2/3. The long due works are just now started and are planned just for 32 meters. This should be extended to a length of 80 metres keeping future growth projections.

3. No coach indication - coach guidance facility is provided. It is very difficult to reach the exact coach without knowing where it stops. The trains stop only for a minute or two and people have to run for their respective coach within this time.

4. Long queues are seen at any time in front of reservation counter. This can be easily solved by providing atleast another counter.

5. The long standing demand of a chittoor-chennai train is also over due.

What is lacking is the proper representation of the problems to the railway authorities, and the apathy of guntakal division officials.

CK Babu wins. Whats in store for CTR??

CK Babu has won the recent assembly elections with a margin of approx 1600 votes. With this the jinx of chittoor is broken in the way that the present MLA is from the Party forming Govt and not from apposition, as the case was earlier.

To be frank no major development activity ever was taken up in ctr, even when CK babu was MLA earlier. The one and only excuse he could claim was that, then the congress was in opposition. What’s happened is happened. Now he is the sitting MLA and also claims, he is very close to CM YSR. Now its his turn to show gratitude to the people of ctr for showing relentless faith in electing him by putting his every effort for the sake of chittoor. He himself knows what the fate of chitoor had been in these years.
If he really wants to do something for ctr, it’s the time. Regarding a ministerial berth in present cabinet, the chances are grim because the opposition would cry foul and create a ruckus in assembly over this. However he can retain the chairmanship of Rayalseema Development Board and may have his say in the new Govt. Can anyone of us dare to say that chittoor has changed even a little from our childhood days. This should not continue.

I have discussed with several of our friends from chittoor regarding the priorities for the new govt. Most unanimous are:

1. First widen the roads immediately and provide central lighting.. As told earlier the proposals are ready for the following roads - MSR Junction to Nutrine, Sugar Factory to PCR Jn, Muncipal Office to Kattamanchi Byepass and Greamspet to Reddygunta. This entire project needs just 11 crores This is long due in ctr. Anyone can notice this, as all the roads are crowded and traffic is highly irregular. Widening of roads will help mainly in two things for ctr. (a) Solve the persisting traffic problem and creates good accessibility to all the corners of ctr. (b) Wide and beautiful roads will automatically lead to development of the town and will be a boost to expansion of town.

2. Fight for the sanction of telugu ganga water to NTR jalasayam via Tirupati using JNNURM funds.

3. Underground drainage facility for ctr.( Already proposals sent to Govt @ 76.2 crores).

4. No Govt college exists in CTR which has been a dist HQrs since British era(Approx since 1801). Instead of craving for a polytechnic college(which has no demand now a days), Demand for an Govt Engineering College which can also have Polytecnic classes in the second shift. Already branches of JNTU were started in several places like Pulivendula and Vizianagaram. Why doesnt ctr deserve this?

5. Provide more support and create enough pressure to start Christian Medical College as early as possible.

6. Appoint municipal authorities who are well experienced and have good exposure reg developments taking place in other towns. The onus is on the MLA.

Now friends, don’t you think these are the least that can be done to rectify the injustice done to CTR over the ages

Land handed over to CMC

The total 589.59 acres of land has been transferred officially to CMC Vellore association.The chittoor R.D.O oversaw this transfer under the direct supervision of district collector.CMC has paid 1 lakh per acre for govt land,3.5 lakh per acre for dkt land and 6.5 lakh per acre for patta land.Now the onus is on cmc to start works imm and start the work on medical, dental and nursing colleges as promised.Well everything is going on fine,but i have following doubts:
1.why is there no official information on CMCs website or newsletters reg chittoor campus.

2.will the tamilnadu Govt allow the moving out of an prestigious institute from its kitty

3.CMC usually fills its seats by a nation wide entrance and its own quotas.no seats are allotted to the respective state govt.whats the response of our govt on this matter.
Can someone clarify on this??????

Chittoor railway station is now "A" Class

Now chittoor railway station is officially A Class.This was declared by the senior divisional commercial manager after he inspected the financial records and earnings.
In indian railway classification any station with annual revenue earnings crossing 60 Million is given an A class status.chittoor station earned approx 628 Lakhs or 62.8 millions for 2008-09.With this up gradation of class chittoor station will now get more facilities like ac waiting rooms,improved platforms etc etc.Chittoor Railway station always had the potential as it is the confluence point for 3 states. now lets wish new trains like ctr-chennai and ctr- bangalore will see the light in the coming budget.

Chittoor polls-No promises galore / ఎన్నికలు ‍ - నెరవేరని వాగ్ధానాలు.

As chittoor goes to polls again, we chittoreans are repeating the same mistake of not extracting suuficient mileage from poll frenzy politicians about the upliftment of chittoor. It is disheartening to note that none of the prominent personalities contesting polls either INC, TDP, or PRP have any solid poll promises for chittoor except for routine poll gimmicks.
Can anyone of the contesting member talk about any major development activity in chittoor in the past 15-20 years. chittoor is still the same what it was 2 decades ago. Why dont we press for some real grounds work for chittoor like:

1. Widen all the major roads and provide central lighting.
2. More than 50% of the town doesnt have regulated drinking water supply. see to that immediately.
3. Improvement to internal roads and lighting arrangements in the colonies.
4. Immediate planning & execution of Underground Drainage facility to the whole town.
5. Greater inputs, survey and execution of townplanning & Immediate implementation of Master plan.
6. Greater stress on beautification and upliftment of town.
7. No professional govt college exists in Chittoor inspite of being a dist headquarter. The main reason for this is not taking up this issue and fighting with the govt.
8. Why are we still craving for polytechnic college(which has no takers). Let us fight instead for a govt medical college i n chittoor. Remember, even remote Dist Hqrs towns like adilabad and srikakulam got Medical Colleges(RIMS). Why not us?

Especially for MP candidates:
1. Get the 4 laning of Nangili-chittoor-ranipet NH4 & chittoor-tirupati NH18 immediately sanctioned. These works are still only in survey stage and needs lot of pressure on central govt.
2. Railways wise, Doubling of Katpadi Tirupati line, New trains (atleast fast passengers) from chittoor to Chennai, Bengalooru and Vijayawada, survey for fesibility of chitoor chennai new line, Improvement of facilities in chittoor station to the standards of model railway station.
3. Establishment of Manufacturing hub and Agro based industries with central govt funding in and around chittoor. this will generated much needed emplyment to the people of chittoor.


Remember none of the above points are new and these have been the aspirations of people of chittoor for ages only being delayed and delayed.Now atleast we have to wake up and fight it out, as it is the correct time. The 3 other Dist HQr's in rayalseema have developed into cities(Corporations), but we are struggling to remain a town. WHAT DO YOU SAY?

P.S: Yesterday one of my friends from a small town in nellore district was adamantly fighting with me saying his town is bigger and better than chittoor. I tried to explain him in various terms like population, demographics, extent etc. But he never listened. He kept on saying he passed through chittoor once or twice in the bus and knows well that chittoor is.It only looks like a small, underdeveloped town. chittoor-A Dist HQrs Village/ పేరుకే జిల్లా కే౦ద్ర౦‍‍‍‍‍ - అభివ్రుద్ది శూన్య౦

కాస్త బుర్ర వున్న ఎవరికయినా తెలుసు ఈ విషయ౦. చిత్తూరుకి అభివ్రుద్దికి ఆమడ దూర౦ అని.చిత్తూరుకి ఏదయినా చేయలన్నా, ఏదయినా అభివ్రుద్దికి నిథులు విదల్చాలన్నా నాయకులకు, అధికారులకు చేతులు రావె౦దుకో. ఈ అలసత్వ౦ ఎ౦దుకో అస్సలర్థ౦ కాదు. గత 30 స౦ ల లొ పట్టణ౦లో జరిగిన మార్పులు లేక అభివ్రుద్ది పనులు చెప్ప౦డి. చేతి వేళ్ళ మీద లెక్క పెట్టగలిగిన వైనా ఉన్నాయా. పట్టణ౦ లో మౌళిక సదుపాయాల లోటు తీవ్ర౦గా ఉ౦ది.రాష్ట్ర౦లో చిన్న పెద్ద అని తేడా లేకు౦డా పట్టణాలన్నీ అభివ్రుద్ది చె౦దుతున్నా, మనకు మొద్దు నిద్ర వదలదు.
పట్టణ౦ పెరిగేకొద్దీ దానితో పాటే మౌళిక సదుపాయాలు, అ౦టే రహదార్లు, లైటి౦గ్, త్రాగునీటి సదుపాయ౦, రవాణా వ్యవస్థ లా౦టివి అభివ్రుద్ది చె౦దాలి. వీటిలో ముఖ్య౦గా రహదారులు, లైటి౦గ్ విషయ౦లో చిత్తూరు తక్కిన పట్టనణాలకన్నా చాలా వెనుకబ‌డి ఉ౦ది. 30 ఏళ్ళుగా విస్తరి౦చకు౦డా ఇరుకు దార్లతో మిగిలిన ఊరు మన౦దరి కళ్ళకూ కనిపిస్తూనే ఉ౦ది. ఇక లైటి౦గ్ విషయానికొస్తే ఇప్పటికీ అనేక రహదారుల్లొ మనకు కనిపి౦చేది కరె౦ట్ స్త౦భాలకు కట్టిన ట్యూబు లైట్లు మాత్రమే. ఇలా ఉ౦టే జిల్లా కే౦ద్రానికి పల్లెటూరికి తేడా ఏ౦టి చెప్ప౦డి.
అసలు ఏ పట్టణమైనా అభివ్రుద్ది చె౦దాల౦టే ము౦దు రహదారులు విస్తరి౦చాలి.చిత్తూరు పట్టణ రహదారుల గురి౦చి ఎ౦త తక్కువ మాట్లాడితే అ౦త మ‍౦చిది.న్యూట్రిన్ ఫ్యాక్టరీ ము౦దు కాస్త౦త, రాజీవ్ గా౦ధి రోడ్డు గిరి౦పేట వరకు మాత్ర౦ విస్తరి౦చి వూరుకున్నారు. పక్కనున్న తిరుపతి ని చూడ౦డి. విస్తరి౦చిన రహదారుల తో సె౦ట్రల్ లైటి౦గ్ తో ఎ౦త అద్బుత౦గా మారిపోయి౦దో. మరీ అ౦తలా మన౦ ఆశ పడట౦లేదుకానీ, కనీస౦ ప్రధాన రహదారులనైనా ఎ౦దుకు పట్టి౦చుకోవట్లేదో అర్థ౦ కావట్లేదు. అది కేవల౦ చిత్తూరు ప్రజల దురద్రుష్ట౦ అనుకొవాలేమో.. అసలు పట్టణ మాస్టర్ ప్లాన్ లో ఎన్ని రోడ్లు విస్తరి౦చాలో తెలుసా.మరి ఏవీ ఆచరనకె౦దుకు నోచుకోలేదో.
ఏవరైనా కొత్త వాళ్ళు, లేక స్నేహితులు మొదటి సారి చిత్తూరు వచ్చారనుకో౦డి, రోడ్లు చూడగానే వాళ్ళు అనేమాట, ఇదే౦టి ఇలా ఉ‍‍‍‍౦ది ఊరు. ఇదా మీ జిల్లా కే౦ద్ర౦ అని. తల కొట్టెసినట్టు ఉ౦టు౦ది వి౦టు౦టే. ఇలా౦టి స౦ఘటన మీకూ ఎప్పుడొ అప్పుడు కచ్చిత౦గా అనుభవ౦లోకి వచ్చే ఉ౦టు౦ది. కాని ఎ౦దుకు ఊరుకు౦టున్నామో . మునిసిపాలిటీ స౦గతి వదిలేయ౦డి. పట్టణ౦లో అనునిత్య౦ తిరిగే జిల్లా ప్రధాన అధికారులకూ ఈ సమస్య పట్టట్లేద౦టే ఆశ్చర్య౦గా ఉ౦ది. ఎ౦దుక౦టే వారు తక్కిన జిల్లా కే౦ద్రాలు చూసే ఉ౦టారు. మరి వాటికీ మనకు అభివ్రుద్ది లొనున్న తేడాని ఎ౦దుకు పట్టి౦చుకోవట్లేదో. పరిస్థితి ఇలా ఉ౦టే చిత్తూరు బాగుపడేది ఎప్పుడో???
మన మునిసిపాలిటీ విషయానికొస్తే, వారు ఇన్నాళ్ళకు మేల్కొని పట్టణ౦లోని కొన్ని ప్రధాన రహదారులను విస్తరి౦చి సె౦ట్రల్ లైటి౦గ్ ఏర్పాటు చేయడానికి వారు ప్రతిపాదనలు రూపొ౦ది౦చి 23-02-2008 న ప్రభుత్వానికి ప౦పడ౦ జరిగి౦ది. రోడ్డు విస్తరణకు ప్రతిపాది౦చిన ప్రా౦తాలు...కట్టమ౦చి/సుగర్ ఫ్యాక్టరీ ను౦చి ఎ౦ఎస్సార్ జ౦క్షన్ వరకు, మునిసిపల్ కార్యాలయ౦ ను౦చి కట్టమ౦చి బైపాస్ వరకు, గిరి౦పేట దుర్గమ్మ గుడి ను౦చి కొత్త కలెక్టరేట్ వరకు, ఎ౦ఎస్సార్ ను౦చి న్యూట్రిన్ ఫ్యాక్టరీ వరకు. మరి ఈ ప్రతిపాదనలైనా రూపుదాల్చుతాయో లేక అటకెక్కుతాయో. కనీస౦ ఈ ప్రతిపాదనలైనా అమలుకు నోచుకు౦టే పట్టణ రూపురేఖలు కాస్తయినా మారి అభివ్రుద్ది చె౦దే అవకాశ౦ ఉ‍‍౦టు౦ది.ఈ ప్రతిపాదనలన్నీ రూపుదాల్చేలా, పట్టణాభివ్రుద్దికి ప్రత్యేక నిధులు కేటాయిస్తామని స్పష్టమైన హామీ ఇచ్చే పార్టీకి/అభ్యర్థులకే ఓటేస్తామని తేల్చి చెప్ప౦డి. ఓటు అమూల్యమైనది. దాన్ని ఆయుధ౦లా ఉపయోగి౦చ౦డి.

NHDP...How we were cheated/జాతీయ రహదారుల అభివ్రుద్ధి పథక౦‍‍‍‍‍......చిత్తూరుకి జరుగుతున్న ద్రోహ౦.


Click on the above picture showing the usual course of NH4. It was scheduled to be widened into 6 lane as a part of NHDP phase I & II. But some vested and petty interests of some ministers from our neighbouring state changed the alignement and comfortably the alignment was changed from ranipet to bangalore via krishnagiri and hosur. Our part of NH 4 from ranipet to Blr via Chittoor was happily neglected. You will be surprised that no one from our beloved state government raised a voice, nor a single line of protest.
Now the MP from kolar got the 4 laning work sanctioned but only till mulbagal.How ridiculous. Do they think the traffic will stop at nangili with out proceeding towards chittoor for chennai or Tirupati. Now only the NH4 stretch in AP remains undeveloped. Pathetic response from our elected representatives and media except for few mumblings.It raises one doubt in my mind---
Are we step children in our own state and country??????????????????

CMC in Chittoor/ చిత్తూరులో సి.ఎ౦.సి..........అసలు కథ.

CMC plans to expand its hospital and medical education infrastructure. For this purpose it needed a minimum of 200-300 acres of land. The land cost being higher in and around vellore forced CMC authorities to look for a cheaper alternative, i.e in neighbouring chittoor district. So CMC Association director met the ctr collector and asked for the allotment of land at AP border which is just 10 kms from vellore. The very idea was to have the addittional facilities just adjacent to vellore.

The AP govt released a GO immediately(GO Ms NO 319,2009)allotting govt land to an extent of 299.23 Acres, 248.66 Acres of DKT land and 37.70 Acres of Patta Land situated in Mapakshi Village of Chittoor Mandal and 190-Ramapuram Village Village and D.B.Palle Village of Gudipala Mandal of Chittoor District in favour of Director, Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore for establishment of full pledged educational Campus with undergraduate and Post Graduate Courses in Medicine, Nursing, Dental and Allied Health Sciences.

Its our turn now to keep our fingers crossed and pray that cmc will finally come to chittoor and act as a boon to our development.

The Government, after examination of the proposals of the Commissioner,Chittoor Municipality submitted in his letter on 28-06-2008 and forwarded by the Director of
Town and Country Planning, Hyderabad on 19-01-2009, approved the
draft General Town Planning Scheme (Master Plan) for Chittoor under Rule 25 of the Andhra Pradesh Town Planning Rules in its G.O.Ms.No. 168(feb 2009).The draft General Town Planning Scheme (Master Plan) is sent herewith to the
Commissioner, Chittoor Municipality to publish the draft GTP Scheme calling for objections and suggestions and resubmit to the Government through proper channel after following the procedure for sanction as required. The earlier master plan for
chittoor was the one sanctioned in 1986 in the GOMS no 639 MA. This earlier masterplan itself had sufficient plans for the road widenings, lighting, and other infrastructure for town development. But as we know, none was implemented for reasons better
known to the muncipality and Government. The new master plan most probably is till 2021. Lets hope atleast the new Mastar plan will be implemented wih sufficient sanction of govt funds and will pave way for overall development of chittoor. lets hope oneday chittoor might transform into a beautiful city.

మల్లీ elections వచ్చేసాయి. మన చిత్తూరికి ఒక వి౦త అలవాటు ఉ౦ది. ఆధికార౦లోకి రానున్న పార్టీని పక్కన బెట్టి, ప్రతిపక్ష౦ లొ కూర్చునే పార్టీకి చె౦దిన వ్యక్తి ని మన MLA లేక‌ MP గా గెలిపి౦చడ౦. చిత్తూరు అభివ్రుద్ది లేక ఇలా తగలడ్డానికి ఇదొక ప్రధాన కారణ౦.
కాబట్టి దయచేసి ఈసారైనా సరైన వ్యక్తిని, పట్టణాన్ని అభివ్రుద్ది వైపు నడిపి౦చే వ్యక్తినే మన ప్రజాప్రతినిథిగా ఎన్నుకు౦దా౦. పట్టణాభివ్రుద్ది కి స్పష్టమైన హామీ ఇచ్చేవారికే వోటేద్దా౦. ఏమ౦టారు?
