NEWS UPDATES FROM CHITTOOR


With thanks to SUDHEER REDDY, Heres some news updates from Chittoor

1.Bata is opened its big mega showroom(G+2) in chittoor at Sundaraiyyar street , beside Gopi book stall.

2.IDBI bank has opened it's new branch and ATM in chittoor at Gandhi.

3.Power Zone (Automobile and Inverter Bat tries) has opened it's showroom on High Road

4.AXIS bank has opened new ATM in Gandhi Road beside "Sun DTH" showroom.

5.Canara Bank has opened twi rural branches in "Thena Banda" and Mangasamudram

6.SBI is about to open ATM near govt hospital(very use full).

    Officials to prepare action plan for Chittoor drinking water scheme

    Chittoor: District Collector Solomon Arokia Raj instructed the Rural Water Supply (RWS) and Public Health Departments (PHD) to take immediate steps for preparing an action plan to create drinking water sources to all the needy places in the district.

    Keeping in view the promise made by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy one year ago of allocating Rs 4,500 crore to Chittoor district towards drinking sources, an integrated survey report was drafted by a competent agency recently.

    The Public Heath and RWS departments have examined all the feasibilities for diverting Telugu Ganga water from Kandaleru to Chittoor through seven pumping stations on technical lines. Both the departments have confirmed that Rs 7,000 crore would be needed to fulfill the promise of CM as far as drinking water sources are concerned.

    Due to escalation of prices of all cement, steal and sand besides hiking labour component, the cost of the proposed project was hiked from Rs.4500 crore to Rs.7,000 crore, according to sources.

    Speaking to The Hans India here on Saturday, Superintendent Engineer of Rural Water Supply Vijayakumar said a clear cut survey project was designed for diverting 6.3 TMC water from Kandaleru Reservoir and supply through 174 km long pipeline from various levels. He said pumping stations would be constructed at Srikalahasthi, Renigunta, Chandragiri, Pakala and Penumuru for creating water sources in a big way.

    “It is a big task for diverting such huge quantity of water from Kandaleru to Chittoor through pipeline where a number of pumping stations were to be constructed. Above 2500 habitations would also be covered for creating drinking water sources. It would be the permanent solution for the district to avert the drinking water problem,” he added.

    He said that both RWS and PHD should jointly work for the completion of the project. He said that there was no allocation of budget for the proposed project. He however said that government would give the green signal for the project within one or two months.

    It may be recalled that District In-charge Minister N Raghuveera Reddy has directed the district collector to go ahead for executing the proposed mega project assuring that due allocation of funds would be made in due course.

    Chittoor MLA CK Babu met the CM N Kiran Kumar Reddy recently and sought the green signal for the proposed mega water project. It is believed that the proposed mega project would be completed with in three years provided the Government releases the earmarked funds accordingly.

      CHITTOOR is capital city for more than 100 years. Before chittoor district is formed, chittoor has been capital city for northarcot including vellore and tirupati(on that time this two were small towns). After 100 years also for name shake chittoor is capital city. But now remaining vellore and tirupati gets corporation because of their massive improvement. Chittoor is still not gets corporation. This is Chittoor improvement because of our waste MLA and MP. To improve, Please vote for educated MLA who can convey chittoor problems in assembly.
