Respite to Chittoor's Water Problem

Recent heavy rains have brought some respite to chittoor's perennial water woes. Ground water level surged in many places of the city and people are hopefull that atleast for the next 6 months, the water scarcity might not be felt .
With NTR jalasayam fast filling up, corporation officials are getting ready to pump this water to the city.
PS: NTR Jalasayam is in very poor state of maintainence. Entire project area is covered by thorn bushes and supply channels have become very narrow. Periodical maintainence can do great wonders to this project and also help serve as a picnic spot
