With met department predicting another 2 days of heavy rains, all tanks in and around chittoor are filled to the brink. Kalavakunta reservoir is almost full and irrigation authorities are watching closely the inflow. The gates might be lifted on Monday evening if same inflow continues.
Though few people are inconvenienced by this rains, most of the population of chittoor are joyous as they have faced severe water scarcity for the past few years. Better preparations by desilting of all the tanks in and around chittoor would have greatly helped in storing more water and thereby increasing ground water levels.

ReplyDeleteApollo Hospitals chairman Pratap C. Reddy on Monday said a plan of action would soon be ready to develop the Chittoor Government Hospital in a phased manner. The hospital chain is all set to take over the medical administration of the Chittoor hospital.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking to the media at Aragonda, his native village near Chittoor, Mr Reddy said Apollo Hospitals would launch intensified health awareness campaigns for the public, with the objective of early detection of threatening diseases.
