  1. Today eenadu & jyothi published corporation announcement prominently on the first page of district edition. Confusingly saakshi had no news on it either in district or constituency edition.

This surprised me as Saakshi was very vocal in supporting corporation proposal of chittoor from the begining and gave continuous coverage on status.

I wonder what made them miss this?

  5. Sakshi had carried the news on the next page but not on the centre page ,normally which has the info abt ctr.But it didnt high light the corporationising,as it was doing prior.

Nice to see many of ctrians coming out to express their deep interest in ctr...

Venk,i think Peddakalva(close to velkur)could be added onto.

Next major change for better legislative representation, which i would look to happen ,would be,having a seperate assembly segment for CTR- Urban, including those areas which come within 12kms radius from Gandhi Statue..ie.,MBandapalle,Sathambakkam,GDN,Thazambedu,RamaPuram,YDM,KGsathram,Kanipakam.

As Voter population close to 1.75 lakh is suffice to take out n form a segment,we can have much more voters, than that specified figure.

DCCB,GPT branch would be starting soon at old Indian bank premises

  7. Can anyone tell me more details on software company coming up at iruvaram opp cofee day

  8. Apollo has come out clear,it is that a Nursing college @ MKBT,but not a medical collge, along with a 200 bedded hospital.(refer AJ business page,Main Edn)
One thing sigh of relief.... Up north - Apollo, down south - CMC,movin on west - digital world city. (looking at the east - ??)churning out some employment for our city.

Wish the other imp obstacle for ctr to cope up with pace, drinking facility would be overcome soon if CWS kickstarts.

Desilting the drains across the central town..OTK,DI,Church,BZR strts is in swing.

FFRT(soon @ kanipakam) aiming to train n guide those rural youth, to be employed appropriately,is appreciable.

  9. Govt released 20 lakhs for centenary arch/clock on 23 rd of his month. What exactly they are planning is not known.

It would be better if this planned in some prominent junction or entrance of city rather than in collectorate.

Moreover if this has to represent the centenary celebrations and 100 years of district, will 20 lakhs be sufficient for an outstanding monument?

  10. Try to think abt the symbol commemorating the first revolt by locales, then in 1857,@ old junction of VLR (near fort).
We already have Gandhi,NTR,Phooles at the heart of the city..So,what can be the next appropriate point which might be suitable to host the Centenary clock...
I think some venue, which has good history related to ctr,can stand against .viz a viz. Municipal Bus Stand
or Municipal Complex@ Gandhi Circle(if its not used for reconstruction)can be more appropriate..
wish to see the statues of heroes ctr dt instated @ Circles,junctions..including that of CTR V.Nagaiah.

  15. If all the ctrians can bring some feed (news) to this blog, entire world can watch whats live at ctr.AS we dont have a better media which focuss on ctr, at this point of time.

Our own Balaji Hatcheries, owner to be felicitated @TANA.

Congratulations for Chandragiri HPO,personnnel, who proved Size n volumes never matter to scale one's efficiency,by standing best in the entire country

BLR has close to 50,000 or more ctrians who have settled at various times(especially, abba Naidu studio, kathirikuppam,)predominantly rapid settlements happened,by last decade.NRCs(Non resident Ctrians),BLR if come forward to form an association,I think its pivotal for ctrs development. We have katta, reportedly hailing from palasamudram (Md),who would help us.

Especially , improvising Education in ctr n Upgrading our aspirants in IT,

  17. Hi Praveen,VLR..(if ur a native of VLR),we are not way behind u(VLR),just 3yrs late for getting corporatinised..hope we would compete well with VMC.
I certainly believe CTR-VLR sister towns, lots would follow to happen,if a common board for the welfare of both these cities is constituted.
The real feel of being one nation would be reflected unless state borders wouldnt demilit the scope of development of these two cities across the border.
We have airports kdp,Nlr(sooner)which hardly 5 lakh populated,If an airport comes between CTR(3.2 lakh)-vLR(5+lakh)benefitting total of 8 lakh. Also this would serve the imp air transit point for anterior part of Thiruvallur & Kancheepuram dts.

The present Airport of vLR across NH46 yet to function actively.
6 laning of NH46 started around VLR.

  18. Chittoor NRIs (chittoornris.com) as part of TANA is doing great job in uniting people of chittoor district who are in other countries.

I will get back with detailed report on them

  19. Hi Praveen thanks for ur comment and yes VLR - CTR are truely sister cities since centuries back.. my mom is frm CTR and dad is frm VLR so these 2 cities are like my 2 eyes my friend.. i love our native place.
CTR has gained moment now and it is not late i think because as u mentioned VLR having 5lac plus population got corporation 3 yrs back only after 20 yrs of begging.
Yes people of VLR and CTR deserves a airport because lots of things happening around these 2 places, i think u know very well about developments happening in VLR.

So Praveen wat is the criteria for making corporation in AP(population wise)? here in TN i think its above 4lacs or 5lacs not sure because if u see Erode, Tiruppur also got more than 5 lacs.

I'm sure CTR is going see rapid development like anything in coming decade one side is CMC and another side is apollo, Corporation status, good road and rail connectivity thanks to the present CM who approved this ..

  21. Hi Praveen Kumar & Praveen KS

Its very true that chittoor is associated and bonded with vellore than any other town. Historically ctr was administrative head quarters and vellore was military head quarters of erst while arcot district.

The people to people relations are very strong too. if you can notice the road from vlr to ctr is already being filled with industries etc. If proper steps are taken, definitely both can develop as a development corridor.

Reg querry of praveen, a municipality to be declared as corporation in AP should have 3 lakh population, politically and geographically strategic with annual budget crossing 50 crores and should have non agriculture based income of atleast 70% as part of it.
Other than this regional and political reasons are also considered.

  22. Hi..CTR,was out of the town...

First to chaitu...its nice to hear, but how abt technical maintenace etc.For me, its up positive ,i can chip in with tidbits and respond to whatever i am aware abt .

Next to Praveen,VLR>.Nice for sharing ur thoughts & aspirations,at the same time dont wanna alienate u by thanking for that.we are a single family, borders cant be barriers for us..We look forward to have fruitful discussions free thoughts n inquires etc.u can post ur response ,whenever u feel so.
Also We are going to have the largest hardware SEZ coming up close,on BLR-high way.If you have any doubts/querries seeking in detail,i hope blogger would reply to ur mail,if u post across.
This shows how Venks blog is getting popular n universal.Keep going, boss.

  28. Both state Government and Central Govenment are neglecting Chittoor town because of no development activities are improving and i would like to tell one thing to you compare some other small towns like Srikalahasthi, Madanapalli etc., they are well developed then chittoor town even legislators and other Govt.servants also not taking care of Chittoor Respected Chief Minister who is from this district fairly forgot that what he has promised in last year April month district's 100th year celebrations and all Chittoorians including me are afraid of asking about true to the legislators because after asking the truth no one will be alive in this beautiful town.
