RVS Medical College awaiting MCI approval

SV group of institutions situated in RVS Nagar received AP govt approval and NTR health university affiliation to start medical college. They are recruiting doctors to get MCI approval.

One contesting factor is Apollo is also gearing up to start medical college in murukambattu which is hardly 4 kms from RVS. For this purpose they have already got an MOU with state govt to lease District Hospital for 3 years. But will MCI permit 2 medical colleges in 4 kms radius?

If done our Chittoor hopefully gets two medical colleges by April 2016.

    Once Chittoor will get the 2-3 medical colleges then Chittoor will develop like Vellore. its good for Chittoor. In year 2007 itself. 3 colleges proposed for chittoor. After YSR died, CMC is kept hold on medical college.

      MCI gives approval for MBBS admissions when all departments have sufficient staff and also a working hospital with minimum 300 beds

    Great new really to Chittoor. Since there is lack of good schools/colleges in Chittoor, many people shifted to Tirupathi with families for their children studies. Wish many more institutions/collges/schools should be established around chittoor.
