I saw many Tirupati people criticizing the above post. But it is the real truth. If u have stayed in chittoor for last few decades then u can understand the anguish. No one says Tirupati shouldn't get colleges or institutes. But what about chittoor. There is no single developmental activity for the past 50 years. One idiot says we should be happy that Tirupati is developing fast. Does he even know that chittoor was a head quarter even under British rule. Except for the carelessness of our rulers and local idiotic representatives never raising it, resulted in such pathetic state.
When government allowed Apollo Hospitals to take control of Govt Hospital there was a huge cry from some sector of people .... When people don't demand what government will also do ?
By now it is evident that CMC Chittoor project is shelved. We got fooled by all that hoopla when they announced the project. The sad part is that CMC managed to get prime govt. land (600 Acres) close to town with highway access at throwaway price
As per the State Reorganization, development should reach every corner of the state.In the western part of the district Tirupathi has already got good platform for development and it will continue to grow.But the eastern part is neglected where chittoor could be the gamechanger.. all we are asking is to provide some platform for development by establishing state/central institutions in chittoor but not to hinder the development of Tirupathi..Our local leaders should be instrumental in getting these done.
And yes, Tirupathi-Srikalahasti-SriCity-Gudur zone has got all the projects and they are all counted in Chittoor District and Rayalseema quota. So Chittoor Town and western part of district get raw deal. CBN doesn't believe in decentralized development and doesn't care about undeveloped areas.
The purpose of the metro services is to connect City to the near by crowded routes to comfort the travellers.. But in case of chittoor these buses are run between chittoor - tirupathi as non stop services where we have buses in this route for every 5 mins...This does not solve the purpose of metro services...
