A LETTER TO NCBN

Hi Dear "Hi Chittoor" I'm happy to find another comrade in you and many other fellow CTR people who feel the same about the plight of CTR city and the district. I'm posting the mail I have written to Sri NCBN on Face book and TDP website contact mail (whether he/they notice and care about my mail ?! Is different issue. But I was hopeful which seems futile now. The mail reads : 

Dear NCBN Sir, 

I'm Naveen Reddy working as Assistant Professor in xxxxcx in xxxxxxx in Jalandhar.

My native is Perumallapalle near Bangarupalem, Chittoor Dist. I admire your leadership skills and dedication. Everyone knows AP especially Hyderabad is what it is today is just because of you. I want to bring few things to your notice that 

1. The area of Chittoor district between Ranipet TN and Nangili KN along National Highway 4, is ideal for industries such as Fruit Canning, Diary, IT, Automobile, Space, Electronics and Defense. 

2. As you know this area is very fortunate of being situated between two big cosmopolitan cities and major industrial hubs of India. (Chennai and Bangalore)

3.Two big international airports, one big sea port are near by for transport infrastructure. 

4. For one or the other reason this area has been neglected for a long time though it had all the necessary infrastructure requirements. 

5. To remind you it's the only stretch of NH4 which needs four laning, we are left out, Tamilnadu people grabbed our opportunity and shifted golden quadrilateral road to NH7 which runs parallel to NH4 from Bangalore to Chennai and industrially developed the towns along NH7 such as Hosur, Krishnagiri, Ambur, Vaniyambadi and Ranipet. 

6. Many people from my village & mandal and various other adjacent mandals have migrated to either of the above mentioned two major cities for livelihood. Where they are not being offered good wages and livelihood and are exploited because they are from other state. 

7. Recently when I was traveling from Chittoor to Chennai, On the way I saw many young guys going back home in the company buses they work for, I'm sure many of them would be 10th or Inter educated, working near by their native, in a good company, good wages, good standard of living, good education for their children and other amenities for their families.

8. I wish to see the same development and life for all people of small towns and villages of Chittoor district along the NH4 from Ranipet to Nangili in Andhra Pradesh side in Chittoor district. 

9. There are few important infrastructure projects of this area which are lagging behind or being delayed such as 

A. Bangalore-Chennai Expressway (elevated) 

B. Four laning of NH4 from Nangili KN to Ranipet TN 

C. Train route from Chittoor to Nangili

D. Bullet train from Chennai to Bangalore 

10. Please focus on this stretch of NH4 of AP it's been neglected for long. I appreciate your time and attention to my mail. Confident of positive response from you. Thank you Sir.

చిత్తూరు, జూలై 22: రాష్ట్ర ముఖ్యమంత్రి నారాచంద్రబాబు నాయుడు సొంత జిల్లా చిత్తూరు నగరానికి మహర్దశ పట్టనుంది. నగరాన్ని అత్యంత సుందరంగా తీర్చిదిద్దాలన్న సంకల్పంతో వందరోజుల యాక్షన్ ఫ్లాన్ తయారు చేయాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి బాబు ఎమ్మెల్యే డి ఏ సత్యప్రభకు సూచించారు. దీంతో ఆమె ఎప్పటికప్పుడు వివిధ శాఖల అధికారులతో అభివృద్ధి పనులపై చర్చలు సాగిస్తున్నారు. నగరాన్ని సుందరీకరణ చేయడంతో పాటు నెలకొని ఉన్న సమస్యలను యుద్ధప్రాతిపతికన పరిష్కరించేందుకు అధికారులతో ఆమె సమీక్షలు నిర్వహిస్తున్నారు. జిల్లా కలెక్టర్ సిద్దార్థజైన్ ఆద్వర్యంలో ఆయాశాఖల అదికారులు ఇందుకు సంబందించి వందరోజుల యాక్షన్ ఫ్లాన్ సిద్దం చేస్తున్నారు. సెప్టెంబర్ 22వతేదిన ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు చిత్తూరులో పర్యటించనున్న నేపద్యంలో ఆయన ముందు ఈ ప్రణాళికలను ఉంచేందుకు ఎమ్మెల్యే సత్యప్రభ ఆద్వర్యంలో అధికారులు సమాయత్తం అవుతున్నారు. జిల్లా కలెక్టర్ సెలవుల్లో ఉన్న నేపధ్యంలో మంగళవారం ఎమ్మెల్యే డిఏ సత్యప్రభ నివాసంలో చిత్తూరు ఆర్‌డిఓ పెంచలకిశోర్‌తో సిఎం పర్యటన ఏర్పాట్లపై సమీక్షించారు. ప్రధానంగా నగరంలోని కట్టమంచి చెరువును ప్రక్షాళన చేయాలని ఎమ్మెల్యే, నగర మేయర్ అనూరాధ మున్సిపల్ అధికారులను ఇప్పటికే ఆదేశించారు. ఇందులో భాగంగా మంగళవారం చెరువులోని చెత్తా, చెదారాన్ని తొలగించేందుకు మేయర్ అధికారులతో ఆ ప్రాంతాన్ని పరిశీలించారు. పారిశుద్ధ్య సిబ్బందిని రంగంలోకి దించి చెరువు పరిశుభ్రతకు నడుంబిగించారు. ఈ చెరువుకు చుట్టు పార్కులను ఏర్పాటు చేసి సాయం, సంధ్యవేళల్లో ప్రజలు ఆహ్లాదకర వాతావరణంలో వాకింగ్ చేసేవిధంగా చర్యలు చేపడుతున్నారు. అలాగే గంగినేని చెరువులో బోట్ క్లబ్‌ను ఏర్పాటు చెయ్యాలని ఎప్పటి నుండో ఉన్న ప్రతిపాదనను కూడా తెరపైకి తీసుకువస్తున్నారు. అలాగే చిత్తూరులోని జిల్లా కోర్టు సముదాయాన్ని కూల్చివేసి ఆ స్థానంలో ఆధునిక మల్టీ స్టోరేడ్ భవనాలను నిర్మించేందుకు రంగం సిద్ధం అవుతోంది. నగరంలోని 15 కోర్టుల భవనాలను 31 కోట్ల రూపాయలతో నిర్మించేందుకు ఇప్పటికే హైకోర్టు ఆమోద ముద్ర వేసుకుని ప్రభుత్వ పరిపాలనా అనుమతి కోసం దస్త్రాలు పంపి ఉన్నారు. ఈ అంశంపై కూడా చిత్తూరు బార్ అసోసియేషన్ అధ్యక్షుడు సురేంద్రకుమార్ ఎమ్మెల్యే డిఏ సత్యప్రభతో చర్చించారు. నిధుల మంజూరుకు సంబంధించి ప్రభుత్వ అనుమతులు రాగానే చిత్తూరులోని పాత కలెక్టర్ కార్యాలయంలోకి 15 కోర్టులను తరలించి అక్కడ ఆధునిక మల్టీ స్టోర్డ్ భవనాలను నిర్మించనున్నారు. అలాగే నగర నడిబొడ్డున ఉన్న గాంధీవిగ్రహం, మహాత్మాజ్యోతిరావ్ పూలే విగ్రహాల ఉన్న ప్రాంతంలో వన్‌టౌన్ పోలీస్ స్టేషన్‌ను, షాపింగ్ కాంఫ్లెక్స్‌ను తొలగించి అక్కడ సుందరమైన నగర బ్యూటిషికేషన్ ఫార్కును ఏర్పాటు చేసేందుకు అంచనాలు తయారు చేస్తున్నారు. వన్‌టౌన్ ఫోలీస్ స్టేషన్‌ను ఎస్‌పి కార్యాలయంలోకి తరలించి, ఎస్‌పి కార్యాలయాన్ని ప్రశాంతినగర్‌లో డిటిసి కార్యాలయం వెనుక నూతనంగా నిర్మించిన కొత్త భవనంలోకి మార్చాలని యోచిస్తున్నారు. అలాగే నగరంలో డ్రైనేజి వ్యవస్థను ఆధునీకరించి వర్షాకాలంలో సమస్యలు ఎదురుకాకుండా తగు చర్యలు తీసుకునేందుకు ప్రణాళికలను సిద్ధం చేస్తున్నారు. పాత బస్టాండ్ పక్కన శిథిలావవస్థకు చేరుకున్న షాపింగ్ కాంప్లెక్స్‌ను కూడా తొలగించి ఆధునిక మల్టీ స్టోర్డ్ షాపింగ్ కాంప్లెక్స్‌ను నిర్మించేందుకు అంచనాలను తయారు చేస్తున్నారు. ఇప్పటి వరకూ చిత్తూరుకు చెప్పుకోదగ్గ పార్కు అంటూ ఒక్కటి కూడా లేకపోవడంతో నగర ప్రజలను ఆహ్లాదపరిచేందుకు మున్సిపల్ పార్కు, అటవీశాఖ జింకలపార్కు, బివిరెడ్డి పార్కు తదితర పార్కులను ఆధునీకరించి అధివృద్ధి చేసి అందుబాటులోకి తీసుకురావాలని యోచిస్తున్నారు. జడ్పీ ఆధ్వర్యంలో జడ్పీ అతిథిగృహం ఆధునీకరణ, పలు అభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమాలను చేపట్టనున్నారు. అలాగే నగరంలో ప్రదాన సమస్యలైన ట్రాఫిక్,తాగునీటి సమస్య పరిష్కారానికి కూడా పెద్ద ఎత్తున చర్యలు చేపడుతున్నారు. రోడ్డు ఆక్రమణలను తొలగించి అన్ని మార్గాలను డబుల్‌లైన్ రోడ్లుగా రూపుదిద్దేందుకు ప్రణాళికలను సిద్ధం చేస్తున్నారు. కొత్త ఎస్‌పి శ్రీనివాసులు బాధ్యతలు స్వీకరించిన తరువాత ట్రాఫిక్, శాంతి భద్రతల సమస్యలపై ఎమ్మెల్యే డిఏ సత్యప్రభ సమీక్షించనున్నారు. ఇక సమస్యల సుడిగుండంలో అధ్వాన స్థితికి చేరుకుంటున్న చిత్తూరు ప్రభుత్వ ఆసుపత్రిని అన్ని విధాలుగా అభివృద్ధి చెయ్యాలని ప్రతిపాదనలు సిద్ధం చేస్తున్నారు. ఏది ఏమైనా ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు ఆదేశాలతో అదికార యంత్రాంగం చకచకా ప్రణాళికలను సిద్ధం చేస్తున్నారు. ఏది ఏమైనా తెలుగుదేశం ప్రభుత్వం హయాంలో చిత్తూరుకు మహర్దశపట్టనున్నది.

BJP state meet at Chittoor-Development Discussed.

Although ignored by main stream media as usual, here are few of the consensus declarations and decisions of AP state BJP meet held at Chittoor on 20-7-14.

1. Establishing a horticulture university at Chittoor.

2. Immediate 4 laning of Chittoor-kadapa and Chittoor-Naidupeta roads.

3. Improve connectivity between Vijayawada, the undeclared commercial capital of Seemandhra and Chittoor, the tail end city.

4. Doubling of Tpty-Kpd line and improvement of railway facilities around Chittoor ( Strangely Chittoor Bangalore new railway line was not discussed).

5. Allocation of fixed TMCs of water which will also benefit Chittoor.

6. Identification of two industries suitable per district to be established with govt support and aid in creating employement.

These are things specifically related to Chittoor as discussed during the BJP meet. The meet would have been more fruitful if central minister Venkaiah Naidu would've attended. 

However when our locally elected representatIves are in deep slumber, atleast one party discussed what best can be done. Hope BJP fulfills its promises and takes a central place in the hearts and for future of chittooreans.

Chittoor Railway Demands: Chronically Neglected By Succesive Govts

These are the longstanding demands pertaining to Chittoor's railway needs and these developments remain essential for the long term growth demands.

1.  Immediate doubling of Tirupati-Katpadi railway line along with electrification. 

This single line presently is already congested and many trains are stopped at intermediate stations like putalapattu,  panapakam and chandragiri for want of clearance of the track. The doubling project was shown to be economically viable and with good returns to SCR. But still this project is under survey only.

2. Fast passenger train from Chittoor to Chennai to facilitate travel between these culturally connected places

3. Survey for Chittoor-Nangili-Bangalore line is complete and will reduce travelling time between Bangalore and Kolkata by about 4 hours. Karnataka people are strongly demanding this line. But no voices being heard from our district netas or even media.

4. Chittoor station building is in dilapidated condition and It is the same what was built by British. It needs immediate modernisation and expansion and a separate ticket booking office.

Today felt very sad reading local newspapers where none of these demands of chittoor are mentioned. Unless we raise our voices through social media, things are not going to change.

We chittoorians can SMS our demands to 8121281212 so that SCR can hear our grievances just at a cost of 1 rupee. Kindly do this and think as this expenditure of 1 ruppee as ideally spent for ManaChittoor.

స్నేహితులారా, దశాబ్దాల వెనకబాటు నశించాలంటే, పాలకులను ప్రశ్నించండి. 

చాలా సర్దుకుపోయాం. ఇక చాలు. మనకింతే, మన వూరింతే, మనమేం చేయలేం అనుకుంటే తీవృంగా నష్టపోతాం. భావి తరాలకు తీవృ ద్రోహం చేసిన వారవుతాం.

కొత్త రాష్ఠ్రం లో వివిధ సంస్థల స్థాపన, అభివ్రుధ్ది కార్యక్రమాల రూపకల్పన లో చిత్తూరు పేరు అస్సలు వినపడడం లేదు. మన గోడు ఎలుగెత్తి చాటాల్సిన సమయం ఇదే.

తిరుపతి కి ఏ కేటాయింపు జరిగినా అది మొత్తం చిత్తూరు జిల్లాకు కేటాయించినట్లు వూదరగెట్టేస్తున్నారు. అయ్యా చిత్తూరు జిల్లా అంటే తిరుపతొక్కటే కాదు. వనరలు నీళ్ళు లేని పేద్ద జిల్లా మరియు చిత్తూర నే పేరు తో ఒక జిల్లా కేంద్రం కూడా ఉన్నాయి. 

జనాల నోట్లో  నానుతున్నట్లు రేపు తిరుపతి ని బాలాజీ జిల్లా గా విడదీస్తే చిత్తూరుకి మిగిలేది చిప్పేగా. తిరుపతి లేని చిత్తూరు లో అభివృధ్ది సున్నా. 

మెత్తం అభివృధ్ది హైదరాబాదు చుట్టూ పరిమితం చేసి, మొన్నటికి మొన్న తెలంగాణా కి గుత్తగా అప్పజెప్పి తరిమినప్పుడు ఎంత బాధ పడ్డామో మనందరికీ బాగా తెలుసు. ఇప్పుడు తిరుపతి విడదీస్తే తిరిగి ఇదే పరిస్తితి తలెత్తదదా???

అన్ని యూనివర్సిటీ లు, విద్యాలయాలు, వైద్యసంస్ధలు తిరపతిలో మాత్రమే కేంద్రీకృతం అయ్యాయి. ఇప్పుడు తిరుపతి వేరుపడితే మిగిలిన జిల్లా గాఢాంధకారమేగా. ఐప్పుటికీ మేల్కోరా. 

ఇలాంటి పరిస్ధితి లో తిరిగి కొత్త పధకాలు కోసం తరిగి  తిరుపతి పై మాత్రం దృష్టి పెడతున్నారు. కొత్తగా ఏదన్నా జిల్లా ఏర్పడితే కొత్తగా వసతుల కల్పన లాంటివి చేపట్టాలి. కానీ ఇక్కడ అంతా రివర్సు. వందేళ్ళ పాత జిల్లా ఏమీ లేకుండా మిగలబోతోంది. ఒక్క ప్రభుత్వ యూనివర్సిటీ విద్యాలయాలు, వైద్యసంస్ధ కూడా అవశేష చిత్తూరు జిల్లాలో మిగలవు.

చిత్తూరు జిల్లా రెండుగా విడిపోవడం తధ్యం. మరి విడదీసే ముందు అభివృధ్ది వికేంద్రీకరణ అత్యవసరం. ఐది వందేళ్ల చిత్తూరు జిల్లా జీవన్మరణ సమస్య. అయ్యా ప్రజా ప్రతినిధులూ మేల్కొనండి. కాస్తైనా న్యాయం చేయండి.

Never before in the history of AP, TDP party has clean swept like this in Chittoor. Its a clear mandate in Municipal, ZPTC, Assembly and Parliament with a thumping victory to TDP

Such a wave was not seen even during NTRs entry into politics.

Why did the people of Chittoor do so? Why did they reject a dynastic clutches holding chittoor for twenty years. Why did they Vote for a non resident candidate of TDP.This Inspite of joining hands of 3 big wigs, why did YSRCP lose???????

Answer is simple. We are thirsty for development. Since 1911 chittoor has been a municipal body. What is its fate now. A paltry increase in size and population. Nothing more. Yes sir, nothing more!

The roads are same as when we were children. Narrow lanes and huge traffic. Even proper street lighting is absent. Infrastructure, Parks etc,.- Don't even ask.

Why all highways nearby are 4 laned except for around chittoor. Why majority of muncipal funds only spent on water tankers.when all district head quarters got their own universities, why didn't single govt college was atleast sanctioned for Chittoor. Is asking a single passenger train for Chennai too much???? Many more like this.....

Now its your chance Sri #ncbn garu. Its now or never..

WE HAVE VOTED. NOW WE ARE WATCHING

మారిన చిత్తూరు రాజకీయ ముఖచిత్రం-మార్పుకి పట్టం

There is a clear change visible in the thinking of citizens of chittoor where they vented their frustration and anger by giving a clear majority of 36/50  divisions to TDP and this is huge 72 percent majority.

Remember this was achieved with clear infighting and lack of good effort from local TDP leaders.

Shocking outcome is the loss of CK Babus wife in the hands of a new comer.

This clearly shows that the mindset of chittooreans have changed, and they are totally vouching for development.

NCBN whenever visited Chittoor, used to say that " Give me clear majority, and I will show the real development to Chittoor" Now we have given our mandate sir. Its your turn to honour your promise.

Atleast if not as a city, develop as a District head quarter level.

రెండు దశాబ్దాలు గా అభివృద్ది కోసం కళ్ళు కాయలు కాచేలా ఎదురు చూస్తున్నాం. 

  

Time to Decide-Change the Fate

Dear Friends,

In another two days you are going to vote. Now its the time to decide what's good for Chittoor and also you. Your fate is in your hands. Don't go by caste, religion or money. Go by your heart and vote wisely. 

REMEMBER THIS IS THE FIRST ELECTION IN NEW STATE AND THE OUTCOME WILL HAVE GREAT IMPACT ON CHITTOOR'S FUTURE.

If the word on the streets are to be believe, then these might be the reasons for sudden jump of CK Babu to ysrcp. Internal surveys and prevailing situation has shown him that a win in mla elections has become real tough this time. Also though contested as independents there was prevailing mood that CK Babu and Lavanya belong to Congress.

Now comes the master stroke. Jump to ysrcp. If not MLA, power can be retained as MLC. With YSRCPs support mayor election also will become easier and thus can retain strong( compulsive) hold on municipal activities. If at all YSRCP comes to power, then non stop free run for another 5 years. HowzZat 

Coming to TDP candidate, she clearly is leaning on goodwill of her late husband and tdp wave if its present.

Now whoever are these people, next 5 years are crucial to Chittoor. We have seen undeveloped roads, village like lighting etc due to collusion of some vested interests. There will be liberal funds from centre to new state. New institutes will be developed and we have our representatives who don't even raise their voice that something is needed for Chittoor. They spend their entire lives like " frogs of a well" and be contempt even if nothing is achieved.

No voice regarding jobs, roads, institutes, funds, industries railways....absolutely nothing. , will you be satisfied with this.???? We need a VOICE.

సీమాంధ్ర లో మొదటి ఎన్నికలు. నగర పాలక సంస్ధగా చిత్తూరుకీ మొదటి ఎన్నికలే.

మన చిత్తూరు అని మనమందరం ఎంత అభిమానంగా పిలుచుకుంటున్నా, దానిలో కాస్తంత కూడా మన ఘనత వహించిన రాజకీయ నాయకులలో లేకపోవడం మన దౌర్భాగ్యం. 

అభివృద్దిలో మనం అట్టడుగున ఉండిపోవడానికి రాజకీయ నాయకుల బాధ్యత ఎంత?????

అధికార పార్టీ నాయకుడి బృందం  కాంగ్రెస్  మరియు ఇండిపెండట్ గా నామినేషన్లు దాఖలు చేయడం వెనక అంతరార్ధం ఏమిటి.కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ పరిస్ధితి ప్రస్తుత ఎన్నికల లో ఆగమ్యగోచరంగా ఉంది.కాంగ్రెస్ విభజన పేరుతో చేసిన గాయం సీమాంధ్ర ప్రజలు ఎవరూ మరిచిపోలేదు. మరి ఈయన కాంగ్రెస్ కి రాజినామా చేయకుండానే ఇండిపెండట్ గా పోటీకి దిగడం/దింపడం ఎంత వరకు సమంజసం. 

ఎన్నికల తరువాత మళ్ళీ కాంగ్రెస్ లో దూకేస్తారని ప్రజల్లో అనుమానం గట్టిగా ఉంది. నిన్న మెన్నటిదాకా ప్రధాన సామాజిక వర్గానికి చెందినట్లు బావించిన మహిళను ఎన్నికలు ప్రకటించగానే వెనకబడిన వర్గానికి చెందినట్లు చెప్పడంపై కాస్ధంత స్పష్టత రావలసిన అవసరం ఉంది. ఇక వీరు ప్రచారానికి చెబుతోంది మేము చేసిన అభివృద్ది చూసి మాకే వోటేయండని. కాసిన్ని సిమెంట్ రోడ్లు మరి కొన్ని బోర్లు తప్ప అభివృద్ది కనిపించట్లేదని విమర్శలున్నాయి. ఇక అవినీతి ఆరోపణలూ తీవ్రంగా ఉన్నాయి. ఇళ్ళ అనుమతులకు లంచాలు, వ్యాపార సంస్ధల నుంచి బలవంతపు చందాలు, తాగునీటి ట్యాంకర్ల బిల్లుల చెల్లింపుల పేరిట వాటాలు,  కార్పోరేషన్ కార్యాలయానికి స్వంత పేరు తగిలించుకోవడం లాంటి తీవ్రమైన ఆరోపణలు ఎన్నో ఉన్నాయి. వీళ్ళకు  పుర ప్రజల సమ్మతి బాగా తగ్గిందనేది నిర్వివాదాంశం.

This is not from TDP, YSRCP, BJP and not even Pawan Kalyan Jana Senate, but from a fellow chittorean who is worried about chittoor.

Leaving all the facts about the undemocratic division of state for purely election benefits, the anger is clearly palpable all over seemandhra.

Congress is going to be washed away in this anti wave as per many election surveys. Now if Congress is elected in chittoor that will be sealing of fate and end of development for chittoor.

CHITTOOR RAILWAY STATION BUILDING - LETS BRING SOME CHANGE

As part of ManaChittoor family, and as members of CRTA(Chittoor Rail Travelers Association) we have represented several problems and got them corrected with our team effort.


# Anyone who has visited CTO(Chittoor) station building might have observed that it has become very old and dilapidated. This has remained the same since the days of meter guauge. It just looks lika a village station from the looks of the building.

# Though CTO has become a major station with 56 trains running through it and earning good revenues, SCR has neglected about the state of CTO station building and Concourse.

# Even smaller stations of guntakal and also other divisions of SCR has got better buildings with good elevation etc.


* CTO has remained the same because of no representation from our city in any manner.

Now if you really want to change this, we all can bring some change by spending just "1" rupee each. SCR listens. Yes they really record if its from public and take action.

AMARRAJA STARTS CHITTOOR UNIT- NEWS REPORT

xtending its business base in the district, Amara Raja Batteries Limited group, belonging to the Galla family, announced its expansion by launching the world's largest integrated medium VRLA plant at Nunegundlapalli near Chittoor on Sunday.

The first factory in the 500 acre land, set up with an outlay of `350 crore, was inaugurated here on Sunday. With an employment generation capacity of 1,500 in the first plant, the plant can manufacture 3.5 million UPS batteries every year, ARBL managing director Galla Ramachandra Naidu said.

"The second plant is under construction and two more plants--one for tubular and other for plastic--will soon commence operations. The second unit, with an outlay of `350 crore, would provide jobs to another 1,500 people," he said.

Emphasising that the company will focus on employment generation, Ramachandra Naidu said, "Chittoor is enveloped with barren hills. There is no agriculture and only industries here are dairy and poultry. For the economic growth of the district, industries are the only option and we are providing them.''

Ramachandraiah Naidu said after the completion of all the plants, the company will provide jobs to as many as 20,000 persons.

Speaking on the occasion, ABRL vice-chairman and managing director Galla Jayadev said the UPS batteries cater to the need of industries and can be used domestically too.

He said Chittoor is a strategic location for development of industries. "Every one thinks that Chittoor is not viable as it is far off from the capital, Hyderabad. But, it is a strategic location as it is located three hours away from Chennai and Bangalore,'' he said.

Jayadev said economic development will increase commercial activity at the place and also nearby towns. "Thanks to our Karakambadi plant, which is providing employment to 17,000 persons, the local economy increased by 30 per cent in Tirupati. Similarly, with a potential of 30,000 here, Chittoor town and nearby villages will develop,'' he said.

On their future plans, Jayadev said though they have not yet finalised, they are going to invest in other districts including in coastal Andhra and Telangana.

District collector K Ramgopal, Putalapattu MLA Dr Ravi and others also took part.
