Dear Friends,
As chittoreans, we are used to decades of neglect and lack of development. When all other towns and cities moved forward, we remained stagnant. Reasons may be many but prominent are dirty politics and ignorance. Name one district headquarter in seemandhra which lacks basic infrastructure, professional colleges and even drinking water like as in chittoor.
Now the proposal for division of state has come up as big blow to us with great uncertainty about the future. When division becomes inevitable, rumors are that the so called seemandhra central and state ministers are demanding a great package. Now if you carefully go through the proposals , all the demands like establishing central institutions viz. IIT, IIM, AIIMS, EXPRESS HIGHWAYS, PRODUCTION ZONES, etc etc are all centered in either coastal region or atleat other districts of seema. If atleast few peanuts are thrown at chittoor district, the buck stops at Tirupati itself and none to chittoor.
If this is the state of negligence regarding aspirations of Chittoor in the proposals stage itself, think about our fate and injustice awaiting us. Wake up dear politicians, govt employees and ngo's and citizens. Make your voice heard or else we shall be muted spectators for bleak future of chittoor.

In AP, currently Chittoor district means upto Tirupati and all govt dist level sanctions to Tirupathi only. We don't have educated politicians or politicians who can raise voice for the development of chittoor.
ReplyDeleteThe perm solution to avoid negligence to chittoor is..Make Tirupathi as separate district. Then at least it will become inevitable for the govt to sanction the district level sanctions to Chittoor..
We should immediately try to get one medical college, few trains (at least few trains which do not have enough space to halt in tirupati) starting point as chittoor, one big industry around Chittoor and all major roads inside Chittor city to 4 lanes with traffic islands in junctions.
