A middle aged man used to live in a house. When the house was newly built, it was one of the good looking ones in that colony with trees surrounding it etc etc. The man used to live happily in that house with his wife.
Over the period his wife gave birth to 4 children. Now the family size increased but the husband who had a small job never concentrated on improving his house or even repairing it. When the children were grown up they pestered father for separate rooms or build another floor over their house, but father never bothered...The sorrounding colony and other houses changed a lot over this period, but this particular house remained as it was with faded walls, leaking roof and cracks on the walls...
The colony president, looking at the pathetic state of this house called the father and told him that colony members decided to contribute to repair the house.Colony president asked the father for proposals for this purpose..
Now the most funny, hilarious part...do u know what father asked??? Split Ac for all the rooms. Fountain for the garden. Hot water tub for bath room..(he isn't bothered about cracks in the walls, falling compound wall, leaking roof or fading paints. But demanded luxuries)...
This is the fate of our chittoor. The house itself is our Chittoor. The father is our municipal body. Colony president is the govt. Now read this story again and u will understand...
Today as part of road safety week, a cycle rally was organised by District SP. Good thing. But pathetic part is 10-20 cylcles completely filled the main road in Chittoor. This is the state of narrow roads in our so called City...what is our municipal authotities doing???

As per the info available, after this 1853 Thane -Mumbai track, down the south, it was in 1861 first rail line between madras and Arakkonam laid out....
Vizhuppuram - Arani Road - Katpadi - CHITTOOR - Pakala - Tirupati seems to be worked out since 1891...
Most of the times, during the history ,these divisions of Vellore, Chittoor,Tirupati, Kanchi Puram,Chingle Put & Chennai might had been under one Admnistrative centre....

Chittoor was named as Thuyya Nadu, Tirupati as Thirukkuda Vooru Nadu....

Also Old name of Bengloor was Yelahanka Nadu after Yelahanka until after it was renamed after Kempe Gowda

present mla's promise 1 drinking water plant/Division..but now only 50 % of the 11 or 12 plants (ex's brain child) is working.....
Also citizens might have noted that mla asking Cm for land to lay pipeline down from Nagari upto chittoor (water for domestic purposes)...No movement in that too...
what if any one of the two Higher institutes of learning around renigunta was allotted to Chittoor ?
So No Cm,No MP,No Mla,No Mayor.....brightening prospects of Chittoor city,like ever.....

ReplyDeleteOnce upon a time Tirupati n Vellore were small towns than Chittoor. So chittoor named and got district status earlier. Now that two cities are far away to Chettur.
The whole credit goes to,
1) Chittoor Tiger, Ex.MLA : A fact is, who are all calling him as a tiger are d fox in well. Of course almost all chittorians itself are living in d world of well. Still not understanding y he is tiger. Except chittoor district, nobody knows where is chittoor n who is our honourable ex mla n a tiger.
2) NBK : Chittoor is facing lot of curse bcoz of him. No development. Instead of, getting credit by closing existed famous Dairy n Sugar factory.
3) Tirupati : If there is a proposal for any kind of development is Chittoor district, d only destination to them is Tirupati always. Not even shown any mercy on chittoor bcoz for d name sake also, as it is a head quarters for a district.
I hope, If Chittoor moved to Tamilnadu.. I believe chittoor fate vl change. Other than that there is no way to Chittoor.
But it wont happen, and we dont have any hope.. So almost we are trying to forgot of mother town to atleast to not worry much.

ReplyDelete1.All the corporations of AP will have corporation commisioners as IAS officers & and more funds will be infused for infrastructure development like roads,led lighting,waste management & water as part of smart AP campaign .Hopefully this project takes off & chittoor will get its share.
2. Walmart is planning to setup 15 Stores in AP one per district, it already owns 3 stores in AP.
3.Govt of AP signed MOU with Siemens AG to setup Six skill development centers across AP to train students as industry ready with investment of 3500 Crores. Lets hope Chittoor pockets one of them.

It is closer to Srini Mega Food Park. A processing plant at this place will help us to procure mangoes from Chittoor and Krishnagiri easily, and reduce transportation cost.”
Mr. Khambatta said the Chittoor plant would have an annual capacity of 100 crore glasses of powder concentrate. It would provide employment to 400-500 people. The production capacities of Dehradun and Gujarat would increase by 50 crore glasses.
