These are the longstanding demands pertaining to Chittoor's railway needs and these developments remain essential for the long term growth demands.
1. Immediate doubling of Tirupati-Katpadi railway line along with electrification.
This single line presently is already congested and many trains are stopped at intermediate stations like putalapattu, panapakam and chandragiri for want of clearance of the track. The doubling project was shown to be economically viable and with good returns to SCR. But still this project is under survey only.
2. Fast passenger train from Chittoor to Chennai to facilitate travel between these culturally connected places
3. Survey for Chittoor-Nangili-Bangalore line is complete and will reduce travelling time between Bangalore and Kolkata by about 4 hours. Karnataka people are strongly demanding this line. But no voices being heard from our district netas or even media.
4. Chittoor station building is in dilapidated condition and It is the same what was built by British. It needs immediate modernisation and expansion and a separate ticket booking office.
Today felt very sad reading local newspapers where none of these demands of chittoor are mentioned. Unless we raise our voices through social media, things are not going to change.
We chittoorians can SMS our demands to 8121281212 so that SCR can hear our grievances just at a cost of 1 rupee. Kindly do this and think as this expenditure of 1 ruppee as ideally spent for ManaChittoor.
Jai Hind
Urgent train to Chennai required or else extend vellore Chennai uptown chittoor
ReplyDeleteChittoor means tirupathi
ReplyDeleteDevelopment triupathi means chittoor is developed
Until this slogan is removed we will not get anything anlayse for whose benefit tirupathi is being developed
It's scam tirupathi it's intentional
ReplyDeleteNo topic about rayalseema in rail budget
ReplyDeleteSrikrishna committee report why gone hidden
Rayalseema if we do not get our seperate rayalseema we are in for loss right through
ReplyDeleteWe have to press for separate state before we realise the entire cream core items are gone
ReplyDeleteAs usual, AP/Chittoor has got raw deal in this Railway Budget. According to Telugu Newspapers Chittoor hasn't got even single train.
ReplyDeleteBut after going thru list of new trains, I think following trains should pass through Chittoor, not sure though
Jaipur-Madurai Premium Express
Kamakhya-Bengaluru Premium Express
Tatanagar Baiyyappanahali (Bengaluru) Express(Weekly)
I'm more or less sure second and third should pass through Chittoor but again considering that they are Premium and Express trains, they may not stop at Chittoor.
Ok guys, now lets go back to dream mode and wait for next budget!
-Charan
I am not sure about the first 2 trains will pass through Chittoor or not?
Delete1.It may pass through the following route
i)Madurai-katpadi-Guntakal-Pune -Jaipur / Madurai - Katpadi -Chennai-Vijayawada
2. Kamakhya-Bengaluru also go Bangalore-Katpadi -Chennai-Vijayawada

ReplyDeleteThat is why chittoor city should be given state capital or second national capital
We are seeing what is happening few more years like this we are more at loss
Second capital in south then see every voice will be heard
We should getting state capital or second national capital
ReplyDeleteThen every voice will be heard.
People can you please be practical .. stop thinking about capital .. be practical lets at least get the basics and city status first with good infrastructure
ReplyDeleteI believe the problem here is with one particular guy, who is just flooding the comments for all the threads. It has become very annoying and it is becoming hard to find useful comments among his spam.
DeleteIt is same spam comments for all the threads.
Though there are no real development projects for chittoor immediately or near future land/house prices have gone too high..
ReplyDeletepeople seem to be too confident that TDP will develop it like TPT..,but with the recent news about chittoor one should feel that we may be discussing same development plans even in 2020
This comment is especially to our friend who is demanding chittoor as capital/second capital.
ReplyDeleteDear brother, if you look at the reality,we are not even getting the due development programmes at par with other district hqrs. So lets us discuss about them.
Our burning problems today are immediate widening and improvement of intra city road network, permanent drinking water solution, employment opportunities, highway widening and new railway line/new trains etc etc.So much needs to be done.
In such a stage, demanding chittoor as a capital doesn't make sense. So Pls discuss other things which nees attention and hopefully we shall see a different chittoor city in coming years.
Pls don't do repeated posts on this capital issue.

yes correct

ReplyDeleteIts simple to develop both Tirupathi and Chittoor together. Divide Chittoor district into two..Balaji & Chittoor. Both districts will be benefitted with all district level sanctions and industries allocation. Once District level sanctions allotted to Chittoor (currently defaulted to TPT) and new industries setup in and around Chittoor, for sure all our wishes will be fulfilled automatically with in quick time.
ReplyDeletewe can send a mail request stating to set up iit in chittoor instead of one at tirupati to the human resource minister.
ReplyDeletehow many of you are ready?
I Am ready if you can provide ministers email address.
DeleteCheers,
