One auto stopped because of some problem on overbridge and with in 10 mins traffic was jammed from Gandhi circle to RTC busstand. if this is the situation then think about an year or two later.
No one planned for future. but that lack of planning is now showing its ugly face.
Roads immediately possible for expansion:
1. MSR to Nutrine
2. Kattamanchi to Murakambattu
3. RTC busstand to FCI
These roads can be taken up immediately and need Lesser land acquisitions and demolitions.
High road and Santhapet road needs lot of demolitions and will have to face lot of court cases. So this might be delayed temporarily.
Widening and strengthening the Bye pass roads and Masonics to Greamspet will ease some traffic.
Puttur road widening works are going on in full swing as shown in picture. But this 4 lane. road is from FCI to Thana only. What about the traffic entering the city.
Another great example of mindless ignorance and lack of planning is sanctoning of 5 crores for Kattamanchi bridge on neeva river. 5 Crores will only be sufficient for 2 lane bridge which will not relieve the traffic problem on important road.
Lets stop with this temporary solutions and think and plan for future of Chittoor.
The above picture ia taken near Jyothi reddy Nagar showing the 4 laning works of Puttur road.
ReplyDeleteI was hearing road extension news for the past 2 - 3 years , but nothing has taken place so far ....but some time back some survey work was undergoing ..Hope the work will started soon , if there are no objection
ReplyDeleteRoad extension will atleast take 2 years from now , if all the clearance and Budget is sanctioned .
ReplyDeleteTill that time Police and City administration department should work together to slow the traffic issues right now by
1. Arranging the traffic light
2. Make Busy road as one way
3. Strict traffic rules
4. No praking vehicles at before vishnu Bhavan and Sindhu towers and no auto stopping at Andhra Bank
5. Heavy vehicles should be allowed ( eg: Santhapet road)
etc
Due to corporation status,Chittoor city will develop fastly nowadays. Once NH4(4 Lane road) will be completed then Chittoor city will get more importance and develop very fastly. At the same time Digital city,CMC Medical college and Apollo Medical college has to be setup.
ReplyDeletePlease let me know what is the exact status of NH4- (4 LANE) Road status. When it is going to start. What about Naidupeta - Puthala Pattu 4 lane road. Please share any information
ReplyDeleteVenkatesh, Hope you remember me. I heard that ring road plan is ready in municipal office. If you have some sources in the office you can get it and post the plan in our website.
ReplyDeleteI have visited the PES international school recently constructing near Digital World City. The work is going at high pitch and the sources told me tht they are going to start the new batch from next year onwards.
ReplyDeleteYSR was alloted around 500 acres of land to CMC Medical college plus hospital and around 100 acres to Apollo Medical College setup at Chittoor. But now they are misusing of land , they are not going to setup Medical colleges at chittoor. Just for formality they are going to start small hospital or one Apollo Call center or Nursing . That's it.
ReplyDeleteEven YSR was alloted more than 500 acres of land to Digital City,Amara Raja group. If really they will develop and create thousands of jobs then it will be fine.
ReplyDeleteDear Sekhar,
ReplyDeleteYour anguish is true to its nature. but I have been following the happenings in both cmc and Apollo.
CMC is very much committed for building up a health sciences university. As it is a charitable organisation it will go ahead very slow. Already tenders have been called to build a 150 bed hospital with trauma care facilities buy 2013.
Reg Apollo, Pratap C Reddy is very much looking forward for chittoor facility. It wil be a hospital and training centre for allied health sciences. No medical college plan as of now. Due to some court litigation on land, works are being delayed.
I honestly dont have any info on digital world city.
Can some one let me know the list of Good Doctors( The Best ) in Chittoor and their address /contact number( like Child specialist, Eye , Dental ..etc)
ReplyDeleteState mulling bifurcation of Chittoor district?
ReplyDeleteTHE HINDHU
Chief Secretary wanted district administration to submit a fresh report on the proposal: sources
The government has apparently pulled out of the cold storage its long-standing proposal to bifurcate the Chittoor district, spread over as many as 66 mandals, four municipalities and two corporations, and carve out a new district—Balaji District, with Tirupati as the head quartersIn fact, way back in 1987 during N.T. Rama Rao’s regime, some preliminaries in this direction had been carried out by bifurcating certain departments such as Registration and Stamp Duty, Excise and Commercial Tax, Department of Planning and so on. The grounds on which the proposal was mooted at that time was the unwieldy size of the district—spread over 350 to 400 kms in 64 mandals (now 66) spanning from Molakalachervu on the Anantapur-Kadapa border up to Varadaiahpalem on the eastern most part—lying close to the Tamil Nadu border and Chennai.
Another reason cited those days was that most of the time the Chittoor District Collector, Superintendent of Police and other key officials were forced to shuttle between Chittoor and Tirupati to attend to the protocol duties of the VVIPs thronging Tirupati-Tirumala which in its wake disrupted their day-to-day official duties. In fact, as a follow up, the district police set up was bifurcated and a separate Tirupati Urban Police District was carved out about four years ago to take care of both the protocol and policing duties. So it was for reasons of ‘administrative convenience’ that the government had agreed in principle for the carving out of a separate revenue district also with Tirupati as the HQ. However, for reasons unknown, the proposal which initially gathered momentum had stopped on its tracks.
But, after a gap of nearly two decades the government is now said be setting in motion the process to take the proposal to its logical end, provided it does not face any hiccups in any form from any quarters. Sources said that Chief Secretary Minni Mathews who was at Chittoor recently for some official programme has reportedly asked the district administration to submit a fresh report to the government on the proposal covering the feasibility and pros and cons of it.
Under the proposal it is said that while the Madanapalle and part of the Chittoor Revenue Divisions would remain with the existing Chittoor district, the rest of the mandals are likely to be tagged on to the proposed Balaji District.
