Vijaya started as a chilling unit in 1945 ,66yrs b4,1969 it got upgraded,,,During Vengal rao’s period it further improved,reaching some 2lakh ltr milk processing ,becoming 2nd dairy in India in processing,later came up with milk powder,Butter,Ghee etc
Totally 750 were working in it till it got closed in 2002,600 of them are expelled through compulsory VRS, only 150 still with it,

Both of the APSRTC depots-1&2 incurred losses upto 3 cr,in last year,they blame at more bus passes n the loss in running through rural routes (Palle Velugu).
URS @ DGA is also set to start up with.

ReplyDeleteChittoor traffic poses a challenge to police
ReplyDeleteChittoor: It has become a tradition of all the police officials to introduce certain initiatives to solve traffic woes at Chittoor town during the initial days of their joining in the duties. However, none of the former SPs or DSPs could find any solution during the last two decades.
The population of the town crossed 2.13 lakh, while the household numbers increased proportionately. There are above 4,000 auto rickshaws in the town. Vehicular traffic from Tirupati to Bangalore or Vellore has to pass through the main streets of Chittoor town.
The present SP Kranti Rana Tata has started trials to find an effective strategy to control the traffic at Chittoor town.
He has instructed Chittoor DSP Silpavalli to find out ways to regulate traffic in an effective way.
Silpavalli has made relentless efforts during the last four weeks by organising meetings with the public representatives of the town constituting the Chittoor Traffic Advisory Committee. She has introduced certain viable measures to streamline the traffic channels.
She personally studied the practical difficulties with camera footage. She increased the number of traffic police to regulate the traffic. All the circle inspectors and the sub inspectors in the division were entrusted to manage the traffic points in the town.
All the steps being initiated by Chittoor SP as well as Chittoor DSP did not show any impact. The problem remains intact and the police authorities are in helpless situation.
Speaking to The Hans India here on Friday, Silpavalli stressed that public should cooperate in her task following the traffic rules at least. “Many streets in Chittoor town are highly narrow and congested, though the town happens to be the district headquarters. Lot of effort has been initiated for controlling the traffic as per the instructions of Chittoor SP,” she added.
Silpavalli lamented that nobody in the town cares for traffic problem and drive their vehicles as they like. “There is no control on the autos rickshaws and many streets are encroached with petty shop vendors. It makes difficult for anybody to set right the problem without active involvement of the public,” she noted.
She said mere imposing fines and registering cases by police and traffic authorities would never solve the traffic problem and a scientific and strategic way should be found out.
She pointed out that the municipal authorities should take the initiative to broaden the streets and remove the encroachers.
She admitted that there was certain technical set back in maintaining the electronic signals situated at MSR Circle, Gandhi Statue, PCR Centre and Collector’s bungalow. However, she declared that she would work hard until the traffic task was solved.
