After repeated queries and representations, finally SCR heeded to the request of Chittoor Rail Travellers and has decided to provide stoppage for new trains. Though announced for six months, this will be continued because of huge passenger demand to Bangalore, Salem and Coimbatore. As these are day time intercity trains with very less stops, passengers can travel to n from Bangalore with only 3 stops in between.

South Central Railway (SCR) will provide one minute halt for Train Nos 12757/12758 Tirupati-Coimbatore-Tirupati Express and Train No. 12544/12543 Tirupati-Yesvantpur-Tirupati Express at Chittoor station in both the directions with effect from April 16 for a period of six months.
