Dear "Friends of Chittoor City"

Dear " Friends of Chittoor" . 7 years back in 2009 I started this site as a blog when I started to feel that injustice being done to our Chittoor. That was the time when Facebook was unknown and social media was in nascent stages.

I started this all alone, but later joined by many like minded wellwishers of chittoor like you. This was not started for any commercial purpose or do some funny business. Never did I support any political party or any politician.

I am not the one to get demotivated by silly criticism. I have travelled extensively in India and outside, and always felt that pinch thinking about the state of our Chittoor. Even if no one supports, this site is going to continue.

And for criticizers and demotivators etc, Pls find someone else for your job. If you think what i am doing is just writing in manachittoor.com, u are wrong. I am using all official means to continuously do something in my limits for Chittoor. You can check my posts 3 years back when chittoor corporation proposals were stopped.

Very few dear friends who frequent this site know these things.

So kindly excuse me and let me do my job. 

And for all other friends, this is not for me! Not for you! We are all united for the just cause of Development of Chittoor.

Today's andhrajyothi paper has published this news.
If it turns out real, then it will be a major milestone in the development of our Chittoor City.

Now coming to reality part:
1. Andhrajyothi has many times published unverified news in the past regarding chittoor.
2. In recent cabinet meet regarding new urban development authorities, chittoor was never discussed.
3. Above news wrongly states chittoor population according to 2011 census as 153000.
This population is of chittoor municipality. Chittoor corporations population according to 2011 census is 189000 approx and will be around 2.1 lakhs if gd nellore is included.

So, friends wait for good days, but with ur fingers crossed

Dear Friends, one of our chittoorean has sent the above pic. He has contacted Divisional railway manager of Guntakal regarding the bad state of station building of Chittoor railway station.

The problem was immediately attended and painting and repairs were immediately done. Dont believe?

Wish to do something for Chittoor?

Friends, have you noticed that Chittoor railway station has got huge potential but is being constantly ignored( which is trademark in all fields for chittoor)

Look at the station building. It is same since British period and looks like a dilapidated school. Even smaller stations in other districts are being beautified but not ours.

Secondly, Katpadi Tirupati doubling will create a trunk line ( electrified double line) from trivandrum to Delhi. And will act as a alternate trunk line. Its only 105 kms but guntakal division is not considering it due to lack of political pressure.

Now railway ministry is listening to common people. What you can do is either tweet to @sureshpprabhu @gmscrailway about the above two problems

Or you can simply SMS to 8121281212. Your spending of 1 rupee for SMS for our chittoor can bring a good change.
