CHITTOOR IS INVISIBLE TO CM

1. Check the attached news item. CM promises direct roads from all rayalaseema districts to Amaravati.

2. Conveniently Chittoor is left out.

3. Chittoor is the farthest from Amaravati compared to other dist hqrs of Rayalaseema.

4. Only because there is growing dissent in rayalaseema after capital city  foundation, these plans are being announced. Even then chittoor is being ignored completely.

5. If in case something is discussed regarding chittoor district. CMs mind gets focussed on only Yerpedu and kuppam regions. Southern and western parts of the district are in complete neglect.

CHITTOOR GOVT HOSPITAL Leased to APOLLO For 5 Years

Today government has agreed to hand over the GH, Chittoor to Apollo group for a period of 5 years. This proposal has received some criticism from few people, especially one political group.

But, come on guys. Check the attached picture. This has been the state of entrance board for the past 10 years. All the hospital wards smell of urine, no beds are provided to pts except iron cots( that too shared by two patients at a time), no specialists available. It just feels and looks like an animal centre. Even small delivery cases and minor surgeries are turned away asking pts to go to vellore or Tirupati. Now at least things will change.

The Committee has recommended the following points for Apollo to implement:

(1)Apollo will create good ambience by landscaping the vacant areas, improving the elevation of the building and providing drainages and water supply to all the buildings in the hospital.

(2)Acute Medical care units, Intensive Care Units and Casualty Department have to be strengthened by creating new ICUs and equipping them well as very few ICU facilities are available presently.

(3) Establishment of state of the art Operation Theatre complex with at least 06 operating rooms, having all facilities for various surgical procedures.

(4) (5) (6): Strengthening of Trauma Care Services by providing additional facilities for Neurosurgery, Intensive Care, critical care and reconstructive surgery.
Provision and maintenance of Haemodialysis with around 10 machines.
Strengthening of wards of existing broad specialists like General Surgery, General Medicine, Orthopaedics, ENT, Ophthalmology and Obstetrics and Gynaecology, by providing good cots, bedside lockers etc.,

(7) Separate Operation Theatres and Labour Rooms have to be provided for Obstetrics and Gynaecology department.

(8)Strengthening of Diagnostic Services by installing digital x-ray machines CT Scan, MRI, high end Color Doppler and Mammography Units in a Centralized location.

(9) A central casualty department with good number of beds and equipment for acute and intensive care as to be provided in the OPD block.

(10) An OPD block accommodating nearly 1500 out patients and having facilities for computerized registration and recording has to be developed.

MOST IMPORTANT: All services so provided by the hospital should be made available free of cost to the public.
ALL the new facilities and equipment will be given to Govt Hospital only,  after completion of 5 year lease period.

My Take: If left in the present state, this Chittoor Govt Hospital will never change even in next 25 years. At least by this lease method all the equipment and facilities will be provided and chittoor people will get much needed emergency and speciality health care in Chittoor itself.
