    First thing to the anonymous who called this blog a 'ridiculous & self centred" ,give us a better understanding,how its so,,,,

    The blog is ok,but the peoples response to get united n raise vocal in response to the issues raised to take them to the next level is missing...

    Adding to the lack of proper action (execution)/action plan by our district n municipal authorities,to make ctr to stand against a real DHQ

    hi friends,
    i am a chittorean presently in canada since 8 years. every year or two i come to visit my parents in ctr. just like you i too have been feeling that nothing changes in ctr. but my last visit in jan 2011 i could see atleast some developments. it happened to be centenary celebrations of ctr dist too.

    One thing i want to ask you people out there. will the making of ctr as city will do good. will it change the face of ctr or just increase taxes. what about infrastructure, planning, water supply which are basics ctr is devoid of? i want to ask venkatesh too regarding his opinion.

    Hi sireesh,
    my only purpose of starting the blog is to share the feelings of people from chittoor JUST LIKE US. Now i think the purpose is being served.
    Reg my opinion u asked, let me tell u this. Everyone of us know how chittoor being an imp town and buisiness centre in 70's and 80's became a dull and dumb town with continuing negligence.
    Most of the people in our state speak very light of chittoor. Now if it becomes a corporation, definitely there will be recognition of us. And mainly the increased flow of funds will definitely change the development scenario?(deven if half the funds are utilised). As ctr was already selection grade municipality and tax revision was done in 2006, no new additional taxes will be laid even if it becomes a city. more over corporation will have separate funds for roads, lighting and sewerage. And importantly the HUDCO can be approached for loaning for Kandaleru water supply.

    Hi Anon @ 9:47. Thanks for the suggestion. I am also staying away from chittoor(though missing it a lot). so updates are getting delayed with inputs from friends and relatives. anyhow i will try to be more prompt.
